AUKTools Fixed Base Router Mk II - 230V

AUK-FBROUTII
by AUKTools
£244.95

The 2017 Model is an industrial-quality router produced exclusively for Wood Workers Workshop to run on a UK and European 230v domestic power supply.

This is the first fixed base router available in the UK that delivers the power and quality that the American router lifts require to deliver their full potential - all designed to work on a UK domestic power supply with a UK plug! The heavy-duty industrial-quality 2.4 HP, 1800V motor offers a variable-speed control and premium Wood Workers WorkshopNSK bearings for extended life and minimal cutter vibration.

This fixed base router is fully compatible with American style router lift systems such as the INCRA Mast-R-Lift II and therefore allows for precise and easy adjustment of cutter height without any cutter length loss below the table. The motor shaft and auto-release collet raises above the table for easy cutter change with the supplied spanners. The soft start variable speed control is sealed for reliability in the hard working environment of router table or CNC machines, and is engineered to maintain constant speed under load.

This router is designed specifically for use with router lifts and CNC machines that require a 106mm (4.2") - diameter router. AUKTools fixed base router is not to be used free hand.

    AUK Router

Not used that much as yet still setting up system but usage so far is excellent especially the soft start, using with Incra lift fitted perfectly.

    So far, so good.........

Having only had this router for a couple of weeks but I have found it to be an excellent product. I have several other routers, Dewalt, Makita etc, & this AUK motor is by far the quietest router in the workshop. It’s fitted to a Kreg table & lift system, which fits perfectly. The collet threads are well machined & offer a confident process when tightening down. Wood Workers Workshop use UKMail for delivery, & although their communication is good, I have found that it takes around five or six days from order to delivery. I feel this could be enhanced somewhat.

A Router that give more expansive brands a run for the money

I have had the router installed now for over a month. The build quality and power of this machine is fantastic. I am totally satisfied with the performance and ease of use. I believe its quality is as good if not better than routers costing £100 more big brand names.

work station Woodpecker and Incra router lifts

Seven years ago I started with a woodpecker lift and a Makita router. but they are both aging so I invested this year on an Incra lift but it needed a motor to fit the USA set up. This motor is new AUKTools - Fixed Base Router Mk II - 230V ., so fare I am satisfied, it fitted perfectly in the lift and has plenty of power. Now I have two work stations, one either side of my table saw . Extremely good.

    Making my own router lift

I am on my way to building my own table and lift. I have quite a few routers but they were all plunge models and I needed a fixed base router. Did a search on the web and found this model. It is what I need. I am unable to review the router at the present time but once I have it up and running I will finish the review.
