Fisher - Satin Chrome Rules - 1000mmFISRULE1000
Fisher - Satin Chrome Rules - 1000mm - these hardened stainless steel rules are very clearly deep-etched marked and are easy to read with the non glare satin finish. The double-sided chrome rules feature both metric and imperial graduations, starting from a reference square end to a rounded D end, they come with a handy hanging hole and are supplied in a protective sleeve.
Available in the following sizes:-
- 150mm (FC06)
- 300mm (FC12)
- 600mm (FC24)
- 1000mm (FC39)
Available in a range of sizes, suiting the wood machinists; a 150mm, a 300m for the cabinet maker, a 600mm bench rule and a mighty 1000mm for setting out. Each increment in length, also gains in both thickness and width which can assist when cutting parallel veneers or determing equal door gaps when used in pairs.
The clean crisp engineered Rules are of the highest quality with clear photo etched markings, subdivided in mm with lines denoting 5mm increments, and numbers signifying every 10mm accrual. The opposite edge is subdivided again into 0.5mm increments for the most accurate of work. The back of the rule is Imperial and marked with 10th, 16th, 20th, 32nd, 64th and Figured Inches.
They will act as a good reference straight egde and can be used for forming free flowing curves for workshop drawings and will return back flat. They can also be used around the workshop for the removal of glue squeeze-out and the removal of gummed paper veneer tape without staining acid rich timbers ( but it may be worth having a second rule for these uses).
Made in Japan to exacting standards.
was purchased to replace a badly faded ruler ,by another manufacturer, and based on other fisher rulers that I have I expect to get the same great service
the rulers that I already have stood the test of time very well the markings are still very easy on the eyes I consider this to be very good as they are in and out of my overall pockets and on the bench all day
These rules are flat, straight, have lovely sharp consistent edges and clear markings. Definitely need more than one. The 150mm is ideal for cleaning up and scraping off glue in glue-ups. I find the half mm divisions too much for my eyes - it is easier to judge the half mm myself between a couple of mm readings, and/or get the verniers out But that is me not the rulers!!
