Routing

We have the widest collection of American routing products in the UK from world class innovators including JessEm, INCRA, AUKTools and Woodpeckers. The North Americans have been leading the way in router tables, lifts, fences and jigs. The engineering development of router collets and extensions along with feather boards and clear stock guides make router work so accurate and safe. With the introduction of jigs and fixing for shop made tools or mitre gauges and systems that run in tracks or sleds on the router table top. Milling and template work can be done with assured accuracy on the PantoRouter using either the Mafell spindle or round bodied routers.

JessEm’s Mast-R-lift II router lift revolutionised the use of router tables allowing all the height adjustments to be made from above the table. The level of accuracy their metric elevators facilitate put them into a league of their own and feel so prestige. INCRA worked with JessEm to develop their MagnaLock insert plate version of the Mast-R-Lift II which allows for quick cutter changing with a vast array of cutter sizes and under table dust extraction using their Clean Sweep insert rings and box. JessEm and INCRA Lifts are designed to be used with our AUKTool’s fixed base router, but for those with a plunge router the JessEm Rout-R-Lift Prestige is ideal and can be couple with an NVR switch and router extension if required.

PantoRouter14

The PantoRouter™ is a precision copy milling machine able to cut a wide variety of wooden joints. Designed with the mechanical linkage of a pantograph in mind, the PantoRouter™ works in all three axis! Other than the work positioning of your piece on the X and Y axis you can set the exact plunge depth of the router cutter on the Z axis making the PantoRouter™ one of the most versatile jointing machines on the market.

The PantoRouter™ uses templates that allows you to accurately trace the tenons, dovetails, distances, drilling patterns or freehand contours. With the original templates you can rout both Mortise and Tenons using the same template, increasing or decreasing the accuracy with minor adjustments to the settings.  Copying pins with ball bearings in various diameters make it possible to adjust the size of a routing pattern again without changing the template.

The PantoRouter™ table top can be tilted to enable cutting of a variety of joints including angles tenons, grooves or dowel holes into a mitred surface.

The majority of router tables, table saws, band saws and disc sanders come with mitre channels in their table tops and often have a cheap mitre gauge thrown in, these mitre gauge bars and fences can be poor quality and disappointing to use. INCRA and JessEm have taken mitre gauge design and manufacture to a new level of accuracy and convenience. From the INCRA family of Mitre Gauges starting at the V27 and V120 through to the 1000SE, 1000HD, 3000SE and 5000 to JessEm’s Mite-R-slide and Mite-R-Gauge Excel II, the quality is unmistakable.
