Whether you’re working in timber, ceramic tiles, plastics, or tubular metal, the DrillMate makes accurate drilling simple and frustration-free.

Precision & Control

Angle Versatility
Drill precisely at 45°, 60°, 75°, or 90° — ideal for joinery, dowel holes, and hardware installation where accuracy matters.

Smooth Operation
Double ball bearings and precision bushings in the aluminium head provide guided control and reduce resistance for clean, straight holes.

Round Stock & Edge Drilling
Self-centring V-grooves hold pipes, dowels, and edges securely, keeping the bit aligned without slipping.

Build Quality & Design

All-Metal Construction
Durable aluminium head and steel shafts withstand heavy use while maintaining accuracy.

Stable Workholding
Non-slip rubber feet protect surfaces during handheld use and can be removed for bench mounting via pre-drilled holes.

Consistent Depths
An adjustable stop collar allows fast, repeatable drilling for production work or multiple identical holes, with a maximum drilling depth of 210mm (8.23”).

Compatibility & Ease of Use

Use with Your Drill
Supplied with 3/8" (9.5mm) drill chuck and has a drilling aperture up to 86mm (3.4”) - no drill press required.

Added Support

Milescraft Drillmate Review

For pricing point, the drillmate is ideal for DIY and hobby and for those without space for dedicated drillpress or looking mobile use.

Spent years wanting the space for a drill press

Spent years wanting the space for a drill press. This is even better. Very versatile and and accurate enough for cabinetry work. Great value.

Great Deal, Great Dealer

Although I have yet to use the Milescraft DrillMate + Chuck, it looks robust & very fit for purpose (I like I can us it with any drill, collared or not). A keyless chuck would have made it even better - as would springs on both columns (like my old Wolfcraft version)! But the cast fittings are solid & should perform well.
It was a good deal at this price, on an easy to use website & speedily delivered.
Thank you Woodworkers Workshop!!
Downside: Milescraft over-package their kit with too much plastic for my planet's sake.

A valuable boost to my skills

This is a very nice tool and is very good value. It's well made and has a solid feel. There is a video showing how to put it together, which was useful, but it comes out of the box already half constructed which was a pleasant surprise.

It was bought to help with the fitting of latches and handles on new replacement doors for our house and has greatly increased my confidence and ability to drill holes at the correct angle. I heartly recommend this product.

Never used but quality checked on this guide

I can only give a review on the quality as the chuck size was to small and returned so never got to use. As usual I do a visual inspection before using any item so afraid all I can say the item passed my visual inspection as a good quality product. Where most machinist have drill bit shanks 13mm-1/2" this something that let the product down where other drill guides did have 13mm drill chucks Just check your drills will fit before purchasing

Just what I wanted.

well made, easy to use, good price.

This was not really that good, very unstable in use unless clamped down but maybe with a much smaller drill it would have been better. Had the hexagonal shaft been 1/4 and not 8mm then it would have fitted many small drill drivers which would have made things easier than using a chuck for attachment. Removing the four rubber feet did help stability but attaching a larger wooden base really helped to make it more user freindly. The clamp for setting the depth is just plastic and I suspect is not going to be that durable. I also found having just one spring on one colomb did not help, much smoother with no spring and would be better with two lighter springs to keep movement even. Saying all that, what can you really expect for fifty pounds these days, I am putting it down to just a case of you get what you pay for and if you want better then look at something like this https://youtu.be/JzSyi4u4P1Y

Perfect

Easy to use and good. Not the best, because you have to hardly focus on the angle area.
