Description

Triangle carpenters squares have been used by woodworkers for many years.  A versatile tool in woodworking it can be used as a try square, mitre square, line scriber and saw guide. However, carpenter squares are usually big and bulky and lack the precision needed for bench work such as joinery and furniture making.

iGaging’s new Bench Squares feature a 2mm thick CNC cut stainless-steel body, laser engraved markings, and a blue anodised Aluminium base.

All the squares have a ruler with drilled holes either every 2 mm along the straight edge.  With the point of the included mechanical pencil in a hole, you can smoothly slide the square along an edge to layout lines parallel to the edge.

      I had seen some really good reviews online about these bench squares and thought they may be useful for me.
      I was a little disappointed when on their first use something didn't seem quite right and I discovered a slight manufacturing defect with the smaller of the squares. This was remedied extremely quickly by Woodworkersworkshop, they sent be a replacement straight away and a return postage label to send the faulty square back. As always, top customer service from Woodworkersworkshop.
      I have not yet used all the features that these squares are capable of (they are in fact so much more than just ordinary squares), but I can confirm they are bang on square, which is of course the most important thing.
      They appear to be good quality and the markings are easy to read.

      Excellent precision squares at a reasonable price

      I love products from iGaging and these triangular squares are no exception. They are very well made and are perfect for use in furniture/cabinet making. The pencil that comes with the set is very useful, and much better quality than the equivalent Incra pencils. Just note that they can't be used with the Incra rulers unles you feed them with led a size down.

      These are really substantial high quality squares that im already getting a lot of use out of. They have a good weight to them and plenty of useful features to save time when marking out. The laser etched markings are really clear and the case is also good quality & more than capable of standing up to a bit of abuse. Not cheap but you wont need to buy any others...

      Excellent tools.

      These squares are very good. They are dead square, substantial and feel very good in the hand - there is a satisfactory degree of 'heft' to them that makes them a joy to use. The only caveat I might make is that the holes are a little larger than those on the Incra squares but that is neither good nor bad - just takes a little getting used to when one has used the Incra. I have to say that I find myself reaching for the iGauging squares first. A larger one might be a useful addition to the range.
