The AUKTools Universal Trim Router Base Plate gives a compact trim router a larger, more stable footprint, making it easier to keep the machine level and under control as you work. The increased base area is particularly useful when routing close to the edge of a board, where a standard router base can lose support and become easier to tip.

A substantial handle provides an additional point of control, helping you guide the router more confidently across the workpiece. This makes edge routing, trimming and other hand-held operations feel steadier and more predictable.

Universal mounting without fixed hole patterns

Rather than relying on a large number of pre-drilled mounting patterns, the base plate uses adjustable mounting slots so the fixing position can be altered to suit different routers. It is designed to accommodate routers with body diameters from 65mm to 132mm, giving broad compatibility across many popular trim-router designs.

The universal layout makes the plate easier to adapt when changing router or adding it to an existing workshop setup, without having to match one specific factory hole pattern.

Clear view of the work

The base combines aluminium alloy with clear acrylic to provide both rigidity and visibility. The transparent section makes it easier to see the cutter and reference line during routing, while the aluminium structure gives the plate the stiffness needed for controlled hand-held work.

The centre opening is designed to accept standard 34.8mm guide bushes, extending the usefulness of the base for template-guided routing and repeatable work.

CNC-machined construction

The plate is CNC-machined and anodised for a durable, accurate finish. At 245 × 158 × 10.8mm, it provides a noticeably larger working surface than a typical trim-router base while remaining compact enough for hand-held use.
