Extra Worktop Space Without a Permanent Footprint
Extra worktop space is always useful, but a larger fixed surface is not always practical. The Rockler Rock-Steady Folding Top Extension Kit lets you add a fold-down extension to a workbench, shop stand, table, wall or cabinet, providing additional support for larger components, assemblies and heavier materials. It can also be used to create a convenient lift-up surface for eating, working or hobbies.
When the extra surface is not needed, the extension folds down neatly against the stand, bench, wall or cabinet, helping you keep valuable workshop or home space clear.
Strong, Adjustable Steel Support
The kit includes two powder-coated steel folding leg assemblies designed to support the extension when raised. The legs adjust from 574.7mm to 955.7mm in 25.4mm increments (22-5/8" to 37-5/8" in 1" increments), making it easier to match the height of an existing bench, stand or table, or to mount the extension to a wall at your preferred height.
Large paddle levers make the legs easy to adjust or fold, while positive locking mechanisms secure them in both the extended and folded positions for stability during use and neat storage.
Heavy-Duty Folding Hardware
The heavy-duty hinge assemblies provide firm support when the worktop is open, then allow it to fold down cleanly when the additional surface is no longer required. The 1/2" levelling feet provide fine adjustment, helping you align the extension accurately with the main work surface.
Compatibility
The kit is compatible with Rock-Steady and legacy Rockler shop stands fitted with 28" or 32" legs, as well as most wooden workbenches and MFT-style tables. It can also be fixed to a suitable wall or cabinet.
You will need to supply your own worktop to suit the intended application.
