INCRA 52" Track System is the ideal solution to any cutting operation that requires accuracy, repeatability, multiple stop positions, or just plain ease of use. Set up Track Systems on all of your favourite tools: Miter Gauge, Drill Press, Miter Saw, Radial Arm Saw, and an unlimited variety of shop-made jigs and fixtures.
Each length of Track is equipped with INCRA's patented sawtooth racks to position your work instantly and automatically in EXACT 1mm steps when used with the INCRA Shop Stop for true machine shop precision without measuring.
Multiple T-slots and through holes provide a means for quickly and easily attaching these rigid aluminium track sections to virtually any woodworking tool. Shop-made wooden sub fences, used to provide splinter-free zero clearance support or to extend fence length or height, slide directly into a T-slot along the Track's front face.
The heart of the System, the INCRA Shop Stop, is expandable to accommodate any fence thickness up to 1-1/2". It's vertically adjustable to accommodate any fence height up to 3-1/2".

Accurate, good, simple design. Used it for my crosscut saw and plan to fit other machines in our workshop with INCRA stops and fences.
If you're planning to shorten the scale, e.g. when using as a mitre saw fence extension, you will need to buy an extra scale section to ensure it actually extends to the end of the track. This is a bit of an omission imho since this isn't a cheap item and throwing an extra scale section into the kit would cost little and fully complete its utility.
The other problem with the scale - again when using as a fence extension - is that, if the trimmed scale section closest to your machine ends up being fairly short then it can move quite easily and will need to be affixed. I haven't decided exactly how to do this - I suspect I will simply resort to a piece of clear adhesive tape on top.
Others have mentioned having difficulty getting the scale sections aligned. Other than the concern I have about trimmed pieces being insecure I didn't have that problem. I found that using a pair of rubber gloves I was able to move them quite easily and accurately.
I especially love the sawtooth rack, which provides millimetre detents and means that the stop doesn't have to be clamped tight to the track - a finger tight turn on the clamping screws gives you a solid lock. One gotcha with them is I found that (on my 52" version at least) butting the rack pieces tight against each other introduced a small (and increasing) inaccuracy the further up the scale I went, so I ended up making a tiny gap between each piece and went back along the track using the stop and scale to ensure each rack was perfectly aligned to the scale.
Other than the problems with the scale (a bit annoying at the price, frankly) everything else about this is superb. Very well made and exceptionally simple to use.
