Description

This innovative one-piece design uses the most advanced manufacturing methods available to carve a solid 1/4"-thick slab of hardened aluminium into a one-piece, gold-anodised spine that serves as both the central part of the handle and the blade for exceptional accuracy and consistency.

INCRA's new line of Precision Squares and 45°s are the most accurate you will find anywhere. Each INCRA square is guaranteed +/-0.001" from nominal along either side of the blade!

The spine also projects beyond the handle's cheek plates on the inside of the square, producing a support lip that makes it easier for the user to keep the handle flat on the edge of a board. There's even a recess machined into the spine's inside corner to keep the fuzzy corner of a board from affecting your measurement.

Incra 5" Guaranteed [****]

Already had the Incra 7" Guaranteed Square and love it. So when the 45 degree square had 15% off I couldn't resist. Bought the 5" by mistake ( I meant to get the 7") but the 5" is actualy the perfect size for a 45 degree square for me.
Both look great, feel very solid and are very accurate even after knocking the 7" Square off my bench more than once.
As always delivey was spot on.

Wood Workers Workshop is my first choice when looking for new tools.

Reliable angle but expensive

I like nice quality reliable tools. It was difficult to justify the expense of this 45 degree ‘mitre square’ but having done that, I’m glad that I bought it. In fact it was in use checking a 45 degree cut I had already made only 10 minutes after delivery and I’m happily surprised at how often I’ve reached for it now that it hangs in my workshop. It is accurate and made to the same sort of standard that you’d expect from Incra. You can buy cheaper but what’s the point of doing that if you can’t totally rely upon the accuracy.

I bought the 7” version and for me, that is as small as I’d want to go. I haven’t handled the 5” model but the space in the 45 degree angle is quite limited if you’re marking with a pencil so I’d guess that the 5” version might be less useful than the 7”.

One of the photos shows the square standing on its side to set a tilted saw bench blade. It clearly does do that but isn’t as stable as the photo indicates...but that’s a small criticism and overall I’d say that if you can afford to spend this sum on a square like this, then I’m sure you’d be happy with this one. I’m happy I bought it and I would buy it again.

It's Incra. It's 45'. Not 44.9 or 45.1......It's 45. Can't get better than that. Worth every penny.

Accurate, beautiful.

At some point during most joinery processes it's necessary to test your work against a reference that you trust, be it a square, straight edge or flat surface.
Already owning a 90* Incra I know how good they are and decided to splash-out on the 7" 45*.
Like the 90* it's a beautiful looking tool and there is no arguing with the accuracy .
Recommended.
