INCRA Precision Marking Rule - Dual Scale 250mm/10"

I was disappointed that this 10” Incra rule didn’t come as specified, if there was a higher resolution photo to suit this rule, I would have gone for one of the other rules on sale. The millimetre scale is 1mm only, not 0.25mm, 0.5mm, 0.75mm, and the Inch scale is only 1”, 1/10" & 1/20” not 1/16”, 1/32” & 1/64” as specified.
For my purposes 1/10 and 1/20” resolution is next to useless, which is a shame because the rule is very accurate and easy to use.

This is a well thought out ruler. Not only do the cut-outs make marking accurately a breeze, the thin metal seems to stick to the wood so no slipping about while measuring and marking. Not sure if this is due to the extra width, the cut-outs adding friction or the floppyness of the thin metal, but who cares because this really is the easiest ruler to mark and measure awkward wood bits. Its also a great price for the features. Will be adding more Incra rules to my collection shortly!

Physically surprisingly flimsy but should serve well if protected from damage. A very simple yet clever way to make accurate measurements right down to the millimetre

For truly precise measurements, those that you need to do when marking out using a magnifying glass to see that it's right, this tool is the bees knees!

I wanted another Incra rule, because I bought the 150mm version quite some time ago and loved it. So, as that was such a good purchase, I decided to get the 300mm version to compliment it (including buying the fantastic Narex Richter 25mm chisel).

Incra rules are very flexible though, so if you need something more rigid, this may not be for you, but if you want an accurate rule with an ability to make marks on your components at any point with the provided 0.25, 0.5, 07.5 and 1.0 holes, then this is the one to go for. I’d highly recommend getting a good mechanical pencil too.

The previous purchase of the Incra 150mm rule came as a package from Wood Workers Workshop, which included a 90 degree edge rule, a T-shaped rule (which is really very good) and a mechanical pencil. All but the pencil are fantastic. Unfortunately, the pencil fell apart the first time I used it, so I’d recommend a brand like Faber-Castell instead. You can use a normal pencil - well, sort of, but a mechanical pencil works best - and you’ll get the most out of the Incra rule if you do. All in all, I’d highly recommend the Incra rules; they are well made, super accurate and far more helpful than you may think. If you can afford the 150mm kit too, I’d get that, because it’ll cover a lot of eventualities.

With regard to Wood Workers Workshop , and as my review of the Narex Richter 25mm chisel mentioned too, they have always been great, with speedy delivery and they always keep you up to date. Buy with confidence.

Had the 6" tee for years. Decided to get the ruler as my eyesite at almost 76 even with specs is not like it was and these rulers are the answer to inaccuracy.

This is amazing, the level of accuracy and precision achieved makes this my go to ruler. The handy size means it is always to hand and quick to use - perfect, although a 0.5 mechanical pencil is a must.

Have looked at these rules in the past and wondered what could make them worth the money, I now know. My eyesight although good isnt quite what it used to be and I have found it difficult making repeated small measurements with a normal ruler. The Incra make this a thing of the past I now find it extremely easy to make tiny measurements and more importantly make them repeatedly. Yes I would reccomend these products for their great accuracy.

Like most amateurs, I always have to justify what I purchase. However, the quality Incra products and resulting accuracy immediately justifies the cost which will become less the more I use this beautifully engineered tool.

Simply brilliant

I use this in bookbinding. It removes the risk of parallex when marking up the spine and sewing stations. Because it is so thin it is perfect for trimming end papers against the book block. On larger books you can bend it over the spine to get an accurate measurement. Box making is far more accurate using the Incra ruler. Love it. Arrived promptly and Woodworkers Workshop were very helpful when I contacted them about the delivery.

Perfect for remedying the mistakes I make when taking shortcuts marking with a blunt pencil, thinking, "I"ll just cut a little left of that mark and a little right of that one and bang in the middle on that one..." Definitely a step towards better work quality.

When building a 4.5m x 2.7m bookcase using mini fix and adjustable shelving precision measurements are essential and this helps a great deal when used in conjunction with spacer bars.

First impressions are of a quality precision instrument. Not been able to use it much so far due to Cold weather in workshop and lack of 0.5 mm Clutch pencil.
This now remedied and I look for ward to many years of successful precision marking out. Perhaps you could bundle in a 0.5 pencil in a package.

All the Incra rules are brilliant pieces of kit which allow a far greater degree of repeatable precision and accuracy than any other rules I have come across: One of the best tools I have ever bought, this 150mm version fits into places the longer ones will not

I brought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. It was much thinner than I expected it to be but he is happy!
