Flat-Profile Multi-Function Layout Square

The MERLIN Flat Double Square is a versatile, flat-profile layout tool designed for precise marking, measuring, and edge referencing in woodworking and joinery applications. Combining the functions of a double square, a framing square, and a 203mm ruler, it delivers exceptional accuracy while remaining lightweight and easy to handle.

Lay-Flat Design for Inside and Outside Layout

Unlike conventional squares, the MERLIN is engineered to lay completely flat in any orientation. This makes it ideal for inside and outside layout, face frames, cabinet boxes, and joinery work where consistent surface contact is essential for accuracy.

Stable Reference with Tru-Mark Accuracy

The built-in shelf tab lip provides a stable reference against the workpiece, meaning the square will stay in place rather than dropping off the timber. This improves control and repeatability when marking across boards and panels. The Tru-Mark Edge ensures lines are placed exactly where intended, eliminating offset errors and speeding up layout tasks.

Precision Marking and Expandable Versatility

A dedicated pencil saddle notch supports consistent, clean line placement for precision work, while the sliding ruler allows the square to be used for depth setting and ruler-style measurements.
