Description

Precision fitting dados, joinery, and inlays without measuring, marking, or test cuts.
Simple and easy to use, the MATCHFIT Dado Stop sets the shoulders of your cross dado using the actual part that will be fitted in the dado for a perfect fit without measuring or test cuts. No hassles, no tricky measurements, just perfect-fitting dado cuts.

For use with MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamps, sold separately.

Using the legs as a stop, make your start and finish shoulder cuts.

  1. Use Leg #1 to cut your first shoulder.
  2. Use Leg #3 to cut your second shoulder.
  3. Clear the waste from the centre.

Going to be a useful bit of kit

At present I've not had reason to set this and make use of it. That said I purchased after watching the YouTube videos on this item - and other kit they make - and decided to buy at the same time as getting the GRR_RIPPER and the Dovetail Clamp Pro. Having used these two pieces and found them extremely useful I've no doubt that the same will apply to this Dado Stop also when the time comes to use it.

Needs specialist dovetail clamps

I was hoping that my Festool clamps would work with the dado stop but they are too large. The description of the dado stop on the website doesn't mention that they need the Micro Jig dovetail clamps to be secured to the fence. The dovetails clamps cost an additional GBP45, and are 'only available to order' (presumably from the US, which can take some time). I think an update or clarification in the description would be helpful.

Simple but very effective

This is one of those very simple, but incredibly useful accessories. Yes, you could probably knock something up yourself to do the same thing, but much prefer actually making things rather than spending time making jigs etc. It's plastic but solidly put together and settings haven't budged during use.

Fantastic all round service!

I've never used Wood Workers Workshop before but have been aware of them for a few years. After spending a long time researching router tables I took the plunge and ordered an Incra top, LS Positioner and router lift, complete with the larger AUKTools router motor. Everything arrived the next day and was packaged superbly. The products are really well made and the router is very powerful and quiet compared to my old one. I had one minor issue with the LS Positioner (an Incra issue, not WWW) and it was resolved very quickly at no cost to me. I would highly recommend this company and the quality products that they stock. There is nowhere else selling woodworking equipment of this quality in the UK. I will be back for more! :-)

Best customer service

This company has the best customer service I can remember receiving. I emailed a query tangentially related to the product and got a comprehensive reply by return. I ordered the product on.a Friday and it was delivered on Saturday. The Incra products are of course excellent quality. Only a shame they use imperial fasteners, but I did find I could run am M6 tap through the 1/4 X 20 hole in the sliding washer with no obvious I'll effect so I could fit a Bristol knob to the sliding extension adjustment.
