FastCap ProCarpenter Tape Measure - True32 Metric Reverse 5m (16ft)

Bought two for the sole purpose of defining balanced panel cabinets spec at client's site and using the Festool LR32 system. 32mm markers are a bit small (see pic) but that probably says more about my eyes! Serves the purpose well and is actually a decent tape. I hope that helps. Great service from Woodworkers Workshop and I'll def use them again.

Excellent fuss free locking action, clear numerics and, best of all, metric on both edges. The icing on the cake would be graduations on the reverse.

A tape where you always have numbers the right way up regardless of which way you hold to measure. Also, the optional belt clip is so easy to attach and release the tape, a joy to use. The black on white numbering is very easy to read making for accurate marking. All in all, a great tape measure.

Extremely pleased with this tape measure, been using a Stanley measure ( nothing wrong with Stanley products) with a yellow background and ft and inc but found the fast cap pro with it’s white background easier on my eyes and being solely metric, and measurement running both ways has made measuring more accurate and definitely easier for me. The tape lock works really well and the product is comfortable to handle. I wouldn’t normally write a review for something like a tape measure but this little fella deserves the utmost praise.

The tape measure market is fascinating. Apparently, in the UK, everyone wants inches. Perhaps something of the Empire to cling to, helping to forget all the sickening acts of terror meted out on sovereign nations in the name of civilisation. We gave America inches and they are still hanging on to them for dear life, along with gallons, yards, miles and movie remakes without subtitles for the folks 'who don't read too good'. I like to think they were inspired by Brits to destabilise, undermine and asset strip Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya & Syria to name but a few. I fully expect a reversion to imperial only tape measures following Brexit, (although I am not holding my breath) but I have never understood why it is so difficult to get an all metric tape in the UK and the irony of buying from America is a deep one. I am on my fifth or sixth of these excellent tapes. I like the mini whiteboard so I can make a note of a dimension before I forget it thirty seconds later and the pencil sharpener is frankly inspired. I like that, just in case the US carpenter starts sweating at the lack of imperial, there are standard US kitchen cabinet dimensions noted on the blade, in inches. God bless America

I am very happy with this tape, I had one given to me to try as I was having problems getting all me cuts the right length. Having used that one I had all my cuts the same, so I had to order more so I have all the same brand just to make sure all my cuts are right. These are great tapes and I have been telling my friends how good they are. I will not be using any other tape from now on, all my old ones I have given to my brother.

I have all the fastcap tapes and they are fantastic bits of kit with notepad and pencil sharpener and also accurate over the length when matched against any of my class 1 tapes

Excellent piece of kit that does exactly what it's supposed to do. I especially notice the quality when measuring out cut widths on the table saw. First time I've bought one that finally waves goodbye to imperial measures. The reverse view is really handy too.

really good quality for the value, metric only version is the way to go. I got three of them, one in the van, one in the bag and one on the bench.
slightly strange having a zero next to each number on the scale, nobody else usually bothers.
accurate well made hook but with some side to side slop.
also total bonus pencil sharpener exactly where you need it.

Solid tape measure at a reasonable price too. Only one I could find with millimetres only.
Ordered Thursday afternoon for next day delivery but didn't get it until Monday. Probably my fault not thinking it wouldn't be dispatched until Friday... Plus weekend... But maybe could put a note on the website about this.

Black on white printed readable either left or right handed. Metric only so and marked out for 32mm system - standard kitchen fitting values marked right in the tape.
Just needs a better belt clip as it Always falls off my belt.

Absolutely love these tape measures. I have two of these as well as several others made by Fastcap and they are all brilliant.
The white tape makes reading really easy, as does the dual sided markings meaning they work equally well left to right or right to left. Love the fact you can write on the tape and case too. Thought it would be a gimmick but actually use the function all the time.
Finally the belt clip is lovely too, far better than the fixed type so many others have.

Really impressed with the build quality, the pencil sharpener and the note pad are a great idea, both will get used. Having metric on both sides makes marking so much easier. I bought the tape mainly for the 32mm increment markings for quick working out of cabinet sizes, so for all of the other features and at a really good price it was a no brainer. Fast shipping as well, excellent supplier.

Well after many years I've found the source that can cure my measuring mistakes ! A tape measure that I can pull from a measuring point with my left hand and mark with my right whilst not having to read the measure upside down. A revelation in measuring tapes and a nice built of quality kit, even though it has the ubiquitous made in china stigma. Can we not make anything anymore ?

Hi ,great tape great service from the woodworkers shop ,but my only complain with the tape for someone in there mid 50’s with poor eye sight the tape is very difficult to read without my glasses ,which I don’t usually need for working in .

Finally some one worked out that we work in mm not cm and created a mm only tape measure. Fun fact body of tape says it’s 3” so I had to work out it’s 75mm so I guess that’s a future improvement. Very happy with quality and feel and features.
