Description

The Woodpeckers Variable Pressure Feather Board is the first feather board whose pressure can be adjusted without moving - feather boards reduce the possibility of dangerous kick-back by keeping your workpiece against the guide fence and down on the table.

Feathe rboards are an invaluable tool to control stock when routing, shaping, ripping and re-sawing. When properly installed, 

One important part of proper installation is setting its position just right for effective pressure. Up until now that required trial-and-error positioning of the feather board. Each time knobs have to be loosened and the device adjusted and then try it one more time. It isn't unusual to have to repeat this process two or three times to get the pressure just right.

Not anymore! Woodpeckers Variable Pressure Feather Board has a built in adjustment plate that increases or reduces holding pressure with a very simple adjustment. There's absolutely no need to change the feather board's position to change the pressure.

This new American made feather board is designed for any application that requires control of wood position as it's being fed along a fence or on a table. It can attach to any 1/4" T-track with the standard included hardware. Optional hardware is available for attachment to standard 3/4 x 3/8 miter channels as well.

For Incra fences, only recommended for use on Hi-Rise Fence Cap.

Another great Woodpecker product

Love these. Solid quality feather boards. The adjustability is brilliant although I found the nuts a bit of a fiddle. I had to build a bracket onto my existing table saw fence to accommodate the feather boards but certainly worth the effort. Great service from Woodworkers Workshop although maybe you guys could work on some kind of discounting, loyalty points system?? Woodpecker stuff is crazy expensive.

Another great Woodpeckers product

As expected these are simply superb - note of (minor) caution... for table saw use you will need the additional attachment set, however if you have the time/patience it's fairly easy to sort it out with washers and a few bolts.Either way, in use I am very happy.

I have only used these to test them so far, they are good quality and very sturdy. They feel very well made and easy to adjust, I will know more about these when I have completed the bathroom project I have just started.

Good product.

A lot of featherboard for the money. The tension adjust is a neat feature. Although all plastic construction (bolts aside), feels very robust and durable. I find they perform pretty well.
Of course, all the fixings are imperial sizes, so I bought these expecting to have to adapt them to my setup - which I have. Getting creative with the grinder, metric bolts/taps and Aruldite has got me up and running. I had to grind the bolt heads (which are sized to run in 1/4" track) into shape to fit my slot-6 aluminium extrusion fence. Took about ten minutes. For the horizontal featherboard, to have it run in my 3/4" mitre channel, I removed the imperial bolts and the nut from the knobs, inserted an M6 bolt into the knob (not quite snug so epoxied in place) that screws into a mitre channel slider. Half hour of fettling in all and we were off.
Don't let this put you off. The actual featherboards work great. If you use 1/4" track in your fence or use the 1/4+3/4" combo track you'd be able to use these straight away.
Given 4 stars instead of 5, purely based on my view that for the money, a 3/4" mitre channel fixing option could be included in the pack. I was lucky enough to have the bits to sort it. If you didn't, you'd be looking at another 20 quid outlay. Diminishes the products value for money slightly.

Fantastic all round service!

I've never used Wood Workers Workshop before but have been aware of them for a few years. After spending a long time researching router tables I took the plunge and ordered an Incra top, LS Positioner and router lift, complete with the larger AUKTools router motor. Everything arrived the next day and was packaged superbly. The products are really well made and the router is very powerful and quiet compared to my old one. I had one minor issue with the LS Positioner (an Incra issue, not WWW) and it was resolved very quickly at no cost to me. I would highly recommend this company and the quality products that they stock. There is nowhere else selling woodworking equipment of this quality in the UK. I will be back for more! :-)

Best customer service

This company has the best customer service I can remember receiving. I emailed a query tangentially related to the product and got a comprehensive reply by return. I ordered the product on.a Friday and it was delivered on Saturday. The Incra products are of course excellent quality. Only a shame they use imperial fasteners, but I did find I could run am M6 tap through the 1/4 X 20 hole in the sliding washer with no obvious I'll effect so I could fit a Bristol knob to the sliding extension adjustment.
