Not quite the finished article

The washers are a great idea, but they suffer from lazy manufacturing. The round hole is nicely countersunk to finish below the level of the top. However, the slot isn’t countersunk so unless you use a screw with a captive washer or a cup washer the screw holding the top on sits proud of the washer. Some people might say “so what”, but at £0.79 pence each I think it is reasonable to expect a fully finished fixing. It is easy enough to rectify with a precision grinder. That said, I might just continue using buttons or make my own metal plates to get a finish in keeping with the hours put into making an object.

Outstanding

I recently bought a these to fit to a small coffee table I fashioned using American White Oak in the Glasgow style. I am delighted with them. They secure the top effectively and are of a good standard.

Perfect for the job

Normally I make my own buttons, but I required something really slim.
These were easy to install and worked well.
Would like more in a pack, for the cost though!That being said I would recommend and use these again.
