Description

These dual-action Clear-Cut stock guides are a simple solution to improving the consistency and safety of your table saw work, replacing up to 4 conventional feather boards and featuring a super-fast set-up.

Features

  • 5º angled wheels simultaneously pull timber toward the fence while holding it down.
  • Hold-in + Hold-down feature improves consistency on long boards and wide panels.
  • One-way roller bearings in the wheels prevent kickback.
  • Heavy aluminium and stainless steel construction with non-marring urethane tyres on each wheel

If you've been using feather boards on your table surface , they're no longer required; because the wheels are set at a 5º angle to the fence, causing boards to be simultaneously pushed against the fence as you feed them forward. This really simplifies sawing long boards, and there's no need to readjust for different board widths as with feather boards. This hold-in action also works on wide panels where feather boards can't be used. They also work like a dream on boards that aren't parallel or are varying widths.

To prevent kickback, the wheels feature one-way roller bearings that allow the wheels to turn forward when feeding timber but not turn in the reverse direction. Each wheel has twin urethane tyres that grip your work without marking or scratching.

The set up is really fast - the outer knob serves as a pivot, and the inner knob sets the height of the wheels. Just drop the wheel onto the top of your board, add the desired amount of downward pressure, and tighten the knob.

If you like hefty tools, you'll love the Clear-Cut Stock Guides. The bodies and wheel carriers are machined from solid aluminium, and the generously-sized knobs are stainless steel. The precision machined acetol resin wheels run on hardened steel hubs and roller bearings for a lifetime of use.

Great piece of kit

I'd been eyeing these up for a while but needed to find a way of using them with my Dewalt 7492 and Bow Xtender fence. A chance YouTube video provided a solution which I then modified - and they work perfectly! I'd previously been using the smaller Flex guides, but the larger ones give more control with wider stock. Very happy indeed, and when I finally get around to upgrading to a cabinet saw, I know these will fit.

Works as advertised

Beautifully engineered guides that do exactly as they say and are a pleasure to use. You can see why they cost so much.

Must have kit

Jess Em Clear Cut Stock Guides. For some time I have been looking at ways of improving the safety of my Bosch GTS 10 XC Professional saw. Having read previous reviews and studied the specifications I decided to invest in the guides. Because of the fence on my Bosch saw I made a saddle from 18mm plywood for the fence,I secured this with M8 bolts through the fence and then secured the track for the stock guides to the top of the saddle. Using the saw with the guides fitted the wood passes through much smoother and safer with less burning of the wood on the cut face, I can visibly see and feel the wood being guided in towards the fence producing a clean and accurate cut. Although not cheap worth every penny and wish I had purchased sooner.

Outstanding Safety Device

I saw the Jess Em Clear Cut Stock Guides for Table Saws being demonstrated on a YouTube video about table saw safety. Having had experience of kick back I liked the idea, but it was being demonstrated on a big professional table saw and was not sure that it would work with my much smaller Scheppach HS 105 hobbyist type machine. However, having read Asanga's experience of fitting it to a portable Mafell Erika saw I decided to try it. The rip fence on the Scheppach is only 24 inches long, so I made a close fitting 30 inch long sleeve to go over the rip fence using 18mm plywood. The mounting track is screwed to the top of the sleeve and through bolts are also required to stop the significant downward pressure of the roller arms lifting the plywood sleeve. Once set up it is easy to use. I have been using the stock guide for over a month now, it provides significant extra safety and I wouldn't want to be without it.

Great Kit

The guides are beautifully made, they fitted to the fence without drilling any holes and work perfectly, as expected.

Confidence Restored

After a particularly alarming case of kickback (that thankfully missed me by sheer luck) I decided to research ways to prevent this in the future and came across these expensive but genius stock guides (the price is ultimately worth the peace of mind and safety). I admit to ordering these stock guides for my Festool TKS 80 before I knew how I was going to attach them to the fence. As it happens the process was far easier than I had suspected. The mounting track comes with both T-track nuts and bolts and self-tapping screws. Using 4 of the nuts and bolts I attached the mounting track to the T-slot on the top edge of the fence. This leaves the mounting track half-suspended over the back half to the fence, however, it was rock solid. For extra security, I machined a strip of oak to perfectly fill the gap between the mounting tack and the top of the fence and used the included screws to secure the track to the oak. This removed the possibility of any deflection when the stock guides are under load. I am now able to install and remove the whole assembly using just the T-track bolts and have not had to drill/harm my fence in any way.

My experience in operation so far has been a real joy with their quick ease of set-up and firm grip of stock held perfectly to the fence as it is pushed through the blade. My confidence has been restored when using the saw as I can't see any way I could get kickback again without putting in some forceful effort to make it happen. Well done JessEm, I am sure these guides will last me a lifetime and keep me from becoming an archery target for my table saw.

Also, I am very happy to have found a trustworthy importer of quality goods in Wood Workers Workshop! I would gladly use this website again in the future.

Security

I purchased the JessEm Clear Cut Stock Guides for Table Saws because of the security it brings me. As my table saw is to narrow for setting up the JessEm Clear Cut Stock Guides I contacted JessEm to ask them what they could propose. In very short delay I received a courteous answer with a link. That was great!

Today, using my table saw with the installed JessEm Clear Cut Stock Guides makes me feel secure and this is, for an elderly lady, of significance.

Thank you for creating such helpers for the workshop.

Took me about two years to finally take the plunge and fork out for these. My old table saw was a load of old tripe so when I finally upgraded I got these at the same time. Well worth it. Yes, they are expensive but they’re brilliant. I wouldn’t be without them now. You literally cannot steer the timber away from the fence. Thinner rips take a bit of getting used to, but they still work beautifully. Very simple to use, zero set up time. I fitted mine to some shimmed 18mm birch ply with some magswitch magnets as I have a high/low fence and needed the extra height. Took about 5 mins. Can’t say a bad word about them, fantastic

Jessem Stock Guides Table Saws

I thought this was a bit pricey, but the engineering finish is excellent and the system does a great job. I had to drill pilot holes in my new Nova table saw fence, but once I'd gotten over the shock and went for it, it fitted easily and looks good. I'd recommend this system to a keen amateur who is fortunate to have the spare cash, or a professional woodworker as an investment.

JessEm Clear Cut Stock Guides for Table Saws

Firstly, I have to say how impressed I am with the customer support and care provided by woodworkersworkshop.co.uk. They truly went out of their way to ensure that these JessEm stock guides would fit my table saw and fence before I ordered them. These people are very professional, polite, friendly and very helpful. I ordered these and they arrived the next day. As far as the product is concerned, the guides exceeded all expectations with regard to the build quality and performance and are exceptionally well engineered. I consider these to be a high end product and all though they are not cheap I feel they are worth every penny. I think that they are a must add-on if you have have a table saw and want to reduce the risk of injury from kickback. And you won't go wrong by buying them from woodworkersworkshop.co.uk.

Jessums table saw clear cut saw guidesguidws

The Jessum contribution to single handed operation of a table saw using their inclined rollers is seriously good.

Instead of a fixed array of feather boards to hold the work piece down to the table , feather boards to keep the incoming lumber up to the table guide and the associated gymnastics
of keeping the other pair of hands free to punch the machine off and on ...is cause for celebration.

My own operation involves ripping down 19f ft baulks of 9x3 siberian larch to be cut to yield the best cross section to align the growth rings to run as near vertical as possible.

The common practice of of cutting to slab is a fact of life

So, by cutting out lengths of square section material from the every 9x3 baulk as delivered at the quayside, is well worth doing to give some superb materai with the best grain orientation for each of the seperate items have the strength and and bending qualities with the added benefits of repeatability

OK this is for boatwork, but the qualities of the timber deserve sawing to obtaining best value and utility from the material as delivered.and the Jessum ClearCut saw guides lighten the load on the work piece, improve the performnce of the saw and take hassle out of what would otherwise be nigh impossible for a single worker in a home boat shed.

This item is very well built and it a quality item, not cheap but quality never is, I had to modify my DW745 fence to fit it but it can be done and anything that makes tools safer is a bargain as against losing your hand or fingers, kick back is also very painful, I’ve had one, and you don’t want to repeat that experience, so invest in one of these, it’s worth it in the end.
The service provided by WW, was very good and delivery very quick, would recommend.

High quality item

Very well engineered item. Used for only a short time but wouldn't now be without it.
A notable mention needs to go to Wood Workers Workshop's customer service, which is by far the best I have ever experienced.

Innovative product

Creates a significant force to keep the workpiece firmly against the fence and in theory elimates the possibilitiy of kickback. Although stated it’s not suitable for portable table saws, I built a simple jig to fit my Mafell Erika saw and it works brilliantly.

Does what it claims

I was surprised at the provision of a torx screwdriver and hex key: it shows the attention to detail by JessEm. Installing the guides was simple.

In use, they work well, and are simple to set up. Avoids the temptation to just take a chance because a push stick is not handy, though the more precautions you take with saws, the more fingers you have (left).

Yes, expensive. Well worth it.

Another marvellous product from Jessem

They do what they say on the tin. The stock is kept firmly against the rip fence and are simple to operate. Fitting was a breeze it only took 1/2 hours to have the working. Quality is excellent as always from Jessem. Can't recommend them enough, at £250 they are expensive but worth every penny...
