INCRA Miter Express

Good service from Wood Workers Workshop as I have come to expect, I will certainly use them again. I brought the Incra Mitre Gauge 1000HD (see my review) a few days before and the decided to buy the Mitre Express to complement the gauge. I make small jewellery boxes and obtaining good mite joints is essential. The gauge and the Mitre Express delivers the high standard that i require and expect. A really important point is the ability to secure your workpiece to the mitre express using the clamp provided as this keeps you fingers well away from the blade. The only comment I would make is that when you tighten the clamp it sometimes pulls your work just off the mitre gauge but you soon learn to check before each cut. Also think about which side of your table the unit will go as it extends out a fair distance, read the online manual before you buy to make certain you have room for it. Very pleased

The Incra mitre express is well mad piece of kit and as at present not fully used but hope it does what it says on the box. Prompt delivery from Wood workers workshop and on offer same as the INCRA website had it on offer

The Incra express is an extremely useful addition to my Dewalt tablesaw. I have paired it with the Incra 1000 HD mitre gauge to replace my wooden sled. Once dialled in, It allows for incredibly smooth accurate and repeatable cuts. A complete game changer.

I've had 2 or 3 shop made versions of this for a few years which utilised a Kreg Mitre Gauge. I liked the idea however of using my Incra gauge which has the incremental stop facility. I would have made a version to take the Incra but for a problem. I either had to drill and tap holes in the gauge or source the cam screws that the Mitre Express uses. I didn't want to risk the former and the latter were prohibitively expensive. I made the decision in Autumn 2021 to get this but was waiting for it to come into stock, then pre-ordered in January this year and received it about 3 months later. WWW did a great job of emailing updates - thank you.

It is recommended that you mount the express on the opposite side to which your blade tilts - this is so you can use the Express for angled cuts. My brain doesn't work this way and I had no intention of tilting the blade (I have another sled for this purpose). So, I mounted it on the left and have no regrets at all. The manual says you need 20cm of table to the edge from the mitre slot - which I have. I accept that this is a minimum requirement, but I would prefer another 5cm to ensure stability - the express panel drops slightly.

Setting up is logical but a bit fiddly - the bolts which ensure smooth and straight running in the mitre slots need the tiniest adjustment to go from too tight to too loose. I do not feel that the panels are robust enough to last years of use (I am hopefully wrong) - for the cost I would have expected better.

In summary, I'm delighted with it. It doubles the capacity for cross-cutting and does so safely, accurately and easily.

Durch den Miter gauge express kann ich endlich breitere Stücke auf meiner kleinen Dewalt Abgängen, größer äls 40cm.
Ohne dieses Teil wäre meine Tischkreissäge unbrauchbar gewesen.

Well packaged easy to assemble excellent product overall only criticism the Allen head adjusting bolts could be larger but very good addition to my dewalt dwe7485 malking miter cuts a breeze when coupled with a 1000se mitre gauge

Excellent engineered woodworking kit, accuracy is unbelievable .This is highly recommended.
Only one criticism is that the mitre bar adjustment can be a bit difficult, I suggest that Allen screws should be deeper cut and slightly larger.

Cross cutting on table saw using the Incra miter express is fantastic.
Accurate - easy set up - and safe too use.
Combined with the miter 3000 se.

I am now extremely happy with this as safe way of making very accurate cuts for making small drawers.
I am using it on a Dewalt 7491 "site" saw , so only a poor quality mitre slot, which in combination with the miter sled this was really bad to set up and I ruined the hex in the mitre adjustment screws in the process -they are just too tiny for the task. In despair straightened the mitre slot with sand paper round a block of wood (which just fitted) and I used insulation tape along the length of the mitre bar to make it fit. The result is excellent. Vastly increases the usefulness of the saw and gives me the safety and accuracy I sought relative to my sliding mitre saw for cutting small pieces accurately and safely. I now understand why in the US the table saw is the mainstay of the woodworking shop ,
I think two Incra clamps will be useful.
I can see a role for this as a large capacity coping sled on the router table

This is a beautifully engineered piece of equipment. The level of engineering is outstanding. This makes my table saw more flexible and far safer. Only one minor gripe which is the rail that fits into the miter slot. Incra makes such a great rail (with the nylon expansion rings) and it is a pity this is not used for the jig. They system they provide does work but is not so elegant.
Expensive but worth it as far as I am concerned.
