Description

Musclechuck's Quick Change Chuck allows you to change your router cutters one handed, with ease and speed from above the router table or on your CNC machines.

The chucks locking system uses just one hex wrench which leaves the other hand free to hold the cutter. The patented noose grip design gives a full 360 degrees hold on the cutters shaft and loosens with a partial turn using the included 5/32, ball-end, hex key wrench. The design of the chuck means there is no cam to wear out or damage your cutters.

The Musclechuck replaces the original router collet offering improved runout and no more rummaging around for the right wrenches, engaging spindle locks or skinning your knuckles on the router housing.

The Musclechuck opening is for 1/2" shank cutters as standard but can be used with collet reduction sleeves for a variety of shank sizes.

Quick Change

Used with my WoodRat mounted ELU router, the Musclechuck lives up to the hype surrounding this well engineered supplementary chucking system.
Mounting or changing bits is now far quicker and more simple than was the case when fiddling about with spanners.

My router is used with a Woodrat. The MC is A beautiful piece of engineering. It adds some length to my router which is very very useful when using profile bits. Changing bits is now absolutely simple and And fast. Routing actually seems quieter, there is definitely less chatter and cuts are cleaner. Wish I’d bought this years ago.

Have installed on an old Freud 2000e, fitted in a Record Power table.

Much easier to use, the basic version gives additional length to easily get the allen key in and change the bit, a big time saver for me

A win-win

I bought this after speaking to Jim at Woodworkers Workshop. It gives me the extra half inch needed when my DW625 router is mounted in the JessEm prestige lift. I don't have any notcible run out even with large bits. The quick change is a real bonus after years of using wrenches. Even with large router bits I haven't noticed any slip (I did keep checking as I was abit paranoid at first).
