Description

Our AUKTools Compact Router Fence has many of the same features as other larger fences but is designed for more compact workshops or site work, where its small size comes into its own. The single-piece aluminium section is strong and robust and has t-slots in both the top and face of the fence for use with accessories such as fence stops, feather boards or JessEm Clear Cut Stock Guides. The 65mm (2-1/2”) dust port provides excellent above the table dust extraction. The clear plastic bit guard and phenolic faced sliding fence pieces are easily adjusted to ensure maximum user safety whilst allowing for various sized cutters.

The fences can not only slide to change the cutter aperture but also be moved forward by 0.8 or 1.6mm for jointing using the included fence offset bars which neatly store within the red anodised extrusion. The fence is fixed down to your table top using the two supplied high bolts which are secured through the router fence, no extra sidebars are required, making a truly small but perfectly formed compact router fence.

Not that great, i need to buy dust extraction reducer forthis because its 65mm which is quite large, and ive had to buy rail accessories also, and its still a bit awkward to move into the right position.

Nice Router Fence

The fence arrived well packaged and in good order. It was easy to fit and worked well. The only negative I have is that the posts securing the fence to the table are fixed with hexagonal nuts. These rotate in the slots unless the fit is perfect. I ended up over-enlarging the slot relief to stop them binding, which allowed the nuts to rotate and made tightening a little awkward. I need to hold the nut (by hand is sufficient) when I tighten the posts to fix the fence position. I think track nuts would be a better option. It's not a big problem but led to me marking this item as 4 stars rather than 5.

Close but needs improvement...

The fence is compact and well made. However, if you want to use it with T-track you need to source your own lock down bolts as the ones it ships with are designed to go through the AUK router table (see their product video). I swapped the fixings for ones that fit T-track (as a few others have) and it works well. This is an easy work around and is well worth doing. For a few extra quid, they could be shipped with both options, then AUK tools would have a real winner.

Well Made Basic Fence

I have installed this fence on a home made router table and am very satisfied with its performance. It does not offer any micro adjustment and I have replaced the included hold down bolts with T-track bolts and now have a very accurate, well made, good value solution. I Would recommend this product.

Absolutely Brilliantt!

I bought this fence to use on my custom made workbench which I have incorporated a built in router. I did a lot of shopping around and thought this fence looked like the best one i could find. It arrived within a couple of days and is a quality piece of kit! Very easy to fit and all the parts that came with the fence are well made and very sturdy once set up!

I would definitely recommend this fence to anyone looking for a router fence they can rely on and use with ease!
