Description

INCRA's Router Stand Wheel Kit makes your INCRA Router Table mobile in a small workshop using swivel caster lifts and a double-action lever to level your Router Table.

Compatible with the INCRA 36" and 43" wide Router Table stands, the INCRA Wheel Kit features powder coated 14 gauge steel parts.

Stepping on the double-action lever at the swivel caster lifts and holds one end of the router table stand, and stepping on the other half of the lever returns the leg levellers to the floor.

Two tricky questions…..

I posed a couple of tricky requests to Wood Worker’s Workshop relating to spares for an older model AUK Router that I had required secondhand. On both occasions the staff went out of their way to assist even visiting the dusted corners in the back of the store room to provide what I needed. The service was above and beyond my expectation and I am delighted. Thank you (Jim in particular).

Usual Incra quality but fiddly to install

I am very happy with the quality and strength of this wheel kit. I've dropped one star because I found it very difficult to fit the fixed wheels to the table legs - the bolts are between the wheel and the wheel housing and there is very little room to get a spanner in there. If you happen to have the right size flat spanner then it would be easy but there is no room for an adjustable spanner or box spanner.
No missing parts for me, but one extra washer - the manual listed 11 washers in the components, but only called up 10 in the instructions.

Absolutely necessary

They are well designed as is everything by INCRA and the customer service by woodworkers workshop is second to none. A very necessary addition for a small shop

Friday afternoon design

I bought these along with a table combo, and thus far they're the worst bit by some margin.

The wheel shrouds are too small, so getting a spanner in to tighten the bolts that secure them to the table legs is an exercise in frustration - another couple of centimetres of steel would have solved that completely.

There are missing washers so (unless you add them yourself) there are bolts that tighten straight onto the painted steel. The powdercoat is so soft that even with washers you're going to damage the finish. There are also split washers described as "shake proof" - split washers aren't shake proof, these should presumably be swapped for shake proof washers.

As another review mentioned there's no method for accurately setting the wheel height so this is just trial and (mostly) error.

My advice is to avoid these and put the table on a wheeled machine base - it'll be quicker, easier, and the end result will be better.

Hi there.

Thank you for your recent review. We note from your review a number of suggestions for improvements to the INCRA Router Stand Wheel Kit and we always like to pass improvement ideas on to INCRA.
We do not appear to have a record of you contacting our technical team regarding missing parts for the wheel kit and we would be happy to get the missing parts out to you if still required.
Should you require further assistance please do contact us on 01684 594683 or email us at sales@woodworkersworkshop.co.uk.

Kind Regards

Docberk Incra Router table wheel kit

Adequate but not what I would have expected. The Kreg system with four lockable wheels is definitely superior. I am changing from Kreg to Incra.

If you have the table get the wheels ...

Apart from yet another useless INCRA manual and the "interesting" installation the wheel kit is well worth getting. Gives your router table mobility in the shop, something we all appreciate.

Questionable design but work well once installed

The finish quality of the Wheel Set is upto the usual Incra standards. But the fixing of the two fixed wheels to the frame must fall into the “most stupid design of the stupid-designs” category. The fixing bolts are incredibly difficult to access to tighten at the frame. You can get there eventually by loosening the wheel bolt and springing open the bracket before tightening the wheel bolt again once the other two are done, but frankly, it shouldn’t be this fiddly.

Another irritation is that there is no hint on setting the heights, its by trial and error, particularly the pivot wheel. This is ok if the wheels are being fitted as part of the initial frame assembly but if done as a retro-fit, as in my case, then be prepared for moving the bottom rails up and down to give enough clearance to get the three mounting brackets right. This might sound like a minor thing but if you have encased the sides of the frame, then be prepared for some serious dismantling, adjustment and reassembly, so I’d suggest that you measure and check clearance before you buy, if this won’t be feasible for you.

In summary, once installed, they work, The finish is good, the table is easy to move (but with quite a big turning radius) but they are an unnecessary pain in the butt to install and particularly so as a retro-fit.

Wheely, wheely good.

The raise and lower arm sticks out a bit far but so far, I’ve not tripped over it. The ease of moving the router table is excellent.

Stand Wheel Kit

A simple well manufactured set of wheels and brackets which are easily fitted to the router stand.
The swivel caster with its double action lever works well and in my small workshop its a must.

Incra wheel Kit

As per previous reviews, this was the last item that I purchased for my own Incra table as I looked for another solution to move my now assembled working router table. Having utilised the spare space in the stand to fit a series of drawers to house all the other spare router equipment along with: jigs, cutters, handheld router machines and other router tools, and so like someone mentioned previously it becomes a heavy cumbersome piece of equipment. With the largest incra table available it also becomes very big and the option to move it around was essential. I would have spent hours designing & making another wheel kit, so although initially expensive for what it is, it, in the end, it took me ten minutes to fit the kit and still be able to use the stabiliser feet that came supplied with the stand. Making it mobile plus solid when in operation.

Essential

The wheel assemblies are sturdy and i would consider essential for moving the table to various areas in the workshop, easily assembled and very easy to use.. another quality item from INCRA.

INCRA - Router Table - Stand Wheel Kit

Once again, a great quality piece of kit here (see my other review of the Incra router table stand).
This is an essential piece of kit, as once you add a cupboard, a router liable top, a router lift and the router itself, the router table stand becomes HEAVY. Not a bad thing to have a heavy table (stability) but you don't want to do your back in or have to get a second person to help every time you want to move the table.
The not so good: 1) Price, I thought this kit was overpriced for what it is. 2) Do not assemble the two side wheels immediately as they appear on the assembly sheet. You will be unable to lock down the two securing nuts with the wheels in place. 3) They tell you to position these wheels at a certain distance from the end of the table leg. The distance is too great, and if you do it their way, when you try to engage the 'lifter-wheel', it remains about 15mm (½") from the floor!
These were only minor criticisms, 2 and 3 result in a lot of fiddling, but overall, an essential pice of quality kit.
Buy with confidence.
