Description

JessEm is proud to introduce the brand new Mast-R-Fence III. Made 100% in their Canadian manufacturing facility, they have just set the bar even higher for what a standard router table fence should be. The New Mast-R-Fence III is extremely functional while adding that aesthetic look woodworkers want to have in their shops.

JessEm started the design using a red phenolic base for a solid platform but also giving us that 100% flat surface every woodworker wants. They precision machined the 6061 aluminium extrusion and finished the parts with a black anodised finish. Instead of the plastic 'high boy' knobs seen on all other fences, they went one step further and machined the 'high boy' knobs out of 6061 aluminium. The entire fence is constructed using stainless steel hardware and other components to give it that beautiful look that will last a lifetime.

To make this fence stand out amongst the rest, they went with Maple sub-fences that are cut, machined and laser engraved in their woodshop. The sub-fence faces can be adjusted tool-free with convenient locking knobs on the backside of the fence. The dust port fitting is designed with an inside diameter that accepts a 2-1/4" diameter vacuum hose fitting and outside diameter that accepts a 2-1/2" vacuum hose fitting. Included with the fence is their unique fence face shimming bars. These bars are laser engraved with one side designed to offset the fence face 0.79mm (1/32") and the other 1.58mm (1/16"). When not in use they conveniently store on the backside in the shimming bar holder.

The JessEm Micro Adjuster (Imperial) is also compatible with the new Mast-R-Fence III and will add to the beauty of this fence.

Mast R Fence IiI

Happy with this, fitted to a custom made top. It’s solid and the raised all-metal knobs are a big improvement on my last one, the stainless face adjuster ones are probably OTT but nice quality to have. The maple fence faces may not be everyone’s choice but I’ve had no movement issues so far and the adjuster design ( counter bored in face, slot on the alu fence extrusion) makes them simple to replace if I ever need to.

Absolute joy to use!
Good strong sturdy fence made from aluminium with a phenolic base. All fittings are stainless steel and the large securing knobs ("high boy") are solid aluminium not plastic and firmly lock the fence in place. This is a fence built to last. Sub fences are wood (Maple - what else from a Canadian company?) and easily replaced with sacrificial fences - plans and dimensions in user manual or on JessEm web site. There are two shimming bars (each with 1/16 and 1/32 inch adjustment) that store neatly on the base when not in use and there are also two pre-drilled holes for locating the JessEm Micro Adjuster. The fence is straight forward to install with easy to follow instructions.
All in all, an absolute joy to use.
