Description

Our AUKTools industrial quality NVR (No Volt Release) Switch features a magnetic ON/OFF switch with a prominently positioned emergency stop and isolation button. It can be used as a replacement switch or for remote switching and isolation on a range of power tools including Lathes, Pillar Drills and Dust Extractors. The NVR switch means that if you suffer power loss, your power tool will not restart until you manually switch it back on. The emergency stop button locks on and can only be released when you physically twist to unlock it, allowing you to easily isolate your power tool.

It can switch up to 13 amps, 230 volts. It has a No Volt Release feature, but not overload protection. It is not suitable for use with additional safety switches and can only be used to control the power off and on.

NVR switch box

A quality product. However, it requires the use of crimp wire connectors - one type of which, I have not managed to buy yet. It would be helpful if the Ad mentioned this requirement - even better, supplied them with the box - they would only add a few pennies to the cost! So, as yet, not used but it will be eventually!

Tougher than it looks

I needed something safer for my bench drill, the current(!) arrangement being to push in/pull out a plug from a non-switched socket.
Wired in now and doing what it's supposed to do. There's not really enough room in the back box for the spade end connectors and arranging the wires was a bit fiddly.
Good value for money, even more so if I'd waited a week or so because I've just noticed the price drop!
Payment and shipping went without hitch and would certainly buy from Woodworkers workshop again.

Does the job

Very happy with this it does what’s required. Needed crimp on spade connectors which I already had but which weren’t supplied. I found it fiddly to screw front of box on due to depth of switch and wires

Very Pleased

I finally replaced the ancient non-NVR switch on my small milling machine with this nice robust switch. The price was good, and following the instructions, I found it easy to wire up. It works well, and I'm very pleased with it. I feel a lot safer now!

great & safe piece of kit.

I bult my current router table some 10 or more years ago and it has undergone numerous improvements the latest of which is the addition of the AUK NVR switch box. The instructions were excellent and fitting and connecting the switch was straight, it is very well made, easy to mount and it is also giving me the peace of mind that I now have a safe switching system on my router table. My next upgrade will be a router lift and motor but unfortunately I'll have to wait for my freud FT3000 to give up, hopefully soon.
