Description

Clifton Cabinet Scrapers are made from Sheffield's finest saw plate carbon sprung steel, this cabinet scraper can be sharpened around its entire outer edge giving it endless versatility on internal curved shapes.

A very useful scraper for cleaning up mouldings, curved legs and profiling with an increasing radius from approximately 12mm-80mm. The superior quality of the steel takes and holds the turned burr for a considerable time and is easily re-sharpened with the Clifton Burnisher.

The edge can be re-worked five or six times with the burnisher before requiring re-filing and flattening on a sharpening stone. One of our favourite cabinetmaker's tools for shaping mouldings, cleaning up veneers and removing tear-out or plane marks.

한국 기준 면세 초과 기준이라 관세와 부가세를 예상했었는데, 한국은 영국과 FTA 협정으로 영국 원산지인 공구는 면세 혜택을 받게 되네요.
클리프턴 제품 판매 사이트 중 제품가와 배송비가 제일 저렴했고 할인까지 되었는데, 관부가세까지 면제되어 좋은 가격으로 구매했어요.
클리프턴 4번 벤치 플레인, 스크래퍼, 베룸 마킹 게이지 블레이드를 구매했구요.
제품은 잘 수령했으나 벤치 플레인의 레버 캡이 손상되어 있었습니다. 교환 문의 메일을 보냈고, 판매처 담당자 JIM의 친절하고 빠른 응대로 불편하지 않게 처리되었습니다. 교환품은 발송 예정이구요.

클리프턴 벤치 플레인은 다소 거친 면이 있고, 약간의 녹과 날에 스크래치가 있어서 제품 마감 상태가 좋다고 볼 수는 없었습니다.
그러나 바로 사용 가능할 정도로 뒷날과 대패집 바닥면의 평활도는 매우 좋았구요, 날도 중간 이상의 날카로움은 있었습니다.
기름칠하고 날만 조금 더 예리하게 연마하면 별다른 세팅은 필요 없습니다.
클리프턴 스크래퍼와 베룸 마킹 게이지 블레이드는 하자 없이 좋은 제품을 수령했습니다.

Never used a cabinet scraper before so I’ve nothing to compare this to but I have found it very easy to use. I followed a few tips on how to get a burr on it and have had very good results, I’m definitely going to be getting more of these.
