INCRA Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm

There are other propelling pencils on the market, one in particular that has been shown by carpentry YouTuber's costing around £15. After my third one stopped working I finally tried the INCRA pencil. At £1.96 each including VAT, well what more can I say. It's not as heavy duty as some, and as others have mentioned, the led supplied is a little short, but at tube of refills is cheap! at that price they are cost effective.

Bought myself a Incra ruler with the according pencil. Using the pencil takes some 'getting used to' because the high accuracy of the ruler means that a line cannot be drawn "just as quickly". However, the pencil fits precisely into the ruler and therefore makes it a pleasure to work with.

It works well with Incra products but lead suplied is woefully short.
I found a pencil supplied on Emirates Airlines flights worked just as well however an expensive way to get another pencil!!!!!!

Might be my hamfistedness, but the lead is too fine that it breaks almost every time I use it.....

In truth I only purchased this pencil in order to qualify for free postage. That said I was some what disappointed. The pencil worked perfectly well and I had no complaints whatsoever, however within a matter of hours it ran out of lead. The pencil was supplied with one single piece of lead which was probably only an inch in length. If Incras profit margins are so tight they can’t afford to put lead in their pencil, perhaps they should review their productivity.
In short, if you need a pencil I’d look elsewhere.

Good pencil and for the price you may as well buy a few to keep around the workshop. I use them with the incra rule set and they are just perfect and keep things marked accurately

Great pencil, very accurate lines always sharp

I own a number of mechanical pencils and have cursed most of them from time to time. Some were fairly cheap and others supposedly the Rolls Royce of mechanical pencils cost far too much for a workshop pencil, especially when they don't work. The Incra beats them all. It breaks less often and does not jam, or at least so far. And the price is far from extortionate. So from me its cheers for the Incra pencil!!

Used this pencil for the 1st time recently with some incra marking out rules and although it took a couple of attempts I marked out a small board at 20 mm centres vertically and horizontally and can honestly say I’ve never been able to achieve this accurately. perfect results and would recommend to all.

I found it difficult to understand how to use it. Why are there no instructions?

You need a 0.5 mm pencil to use the ruler and this pencil compliments the ruler perfectly so all good.

I purchased two of these items. Very light and flimsy but considering the price OK. Previous review's have mentioned the pencil supply with only one lead included. That proved to be the case for one, the other had none!! This omission cost 0.5 stars.
These were bought along with Incra 300mm bend rule which is excellent.

It works well but feels too light for me. Only came with 1 lead/ graphite stick, so be sure to order refil as you buy it. I'll use it until it I loose it 🤪

Bought this pencil with the 12" T-Rule and Bend Rules. Having spent much of my working life as a Design Draughtsman, this type of pencil really is a great improvement over the older types that need constant sharpening. The Incra version is quite inexpensive compared to other brands of this type and different grades of hardness of 0.5mm leads can be obtained from some art shops, although even with say, a 6H lead, it is not good for using as a scriber. Needs a light touch, I always preferred the softer leads (B, 2B) in my work, as you need less pressure and leaves no indent in the working material, but that is a personal choice as the soft grades are somewhat weaker. High visibility colour is a bonus amongst the clutter.

It’s a mechanical pencil and works well with Incra rules. I replaced the lead with 2H which isn’t as dark as the lead supplied but i don’t break it so much.

These pencils are a perfect addition to the incra t-rules that I purchased. They have good quality leads in them which are not too dark. A little more darker leads would suit me, but thats only my personal opinion.

good quality and accurate measuring equipment a little bit expensive, one problem is that I ordered pencil as it did not state on some of the items that the pencils were included

But, I had to order these after purchasing an Incra rule which arrived as a gift without the pencil which is in my opinion part of being able to use the rule accurately.

Fits perfectly in the slots in the Incra rulers as one would expect and is easy to 'feed' the lead with one hand ready to use. Bought these here and was the best price I could find so bought five so one is always at hand.

Easy to use good quality great accompaniment for the rule I purchased

Was having difficulty using a conventional pencil or, even, a standard clutch pencil in the fine holes on the Incra rule. The Incra mechanical. Pencil works well because the tip fits the ruler hole. Gives a nice fine mark, which is as accurate as you would expect from this ruler. System. I bought a few and have spare leads available when needed.

If you get an Incra T-Rule you'll need at least one of these. I am forever putting pencils down and then can't find them so I bought 3 of these and used each of them in the first hour at least once!

Had these b4. just like to spread them around the shop.
