INCRA Router Table Combo #3+ 'The Works'

Would give it 5 stars but I’m not sure table top is completely flat yet, there might be a slight warp in it. Probably a 2 man assembly job. The Awk router itself didn’t quite go into the lift like instructions said. Had to remove 2 screws to get jaws open wide enough. I’m really liking how it works and its accuracy

Router table and all its bits arrived safely and with no damage. Looking at the package when unpacking I thought it was going to be a major job putting it together but with the instructions and you tube videos it wasn’t too bad. everything went together without any fuss.
Had it all assembled and checked everything but as I feared the table wasn’t flat. The problem and this is always the case, with every router table and even some spindle moulders when a hole is cut in a table especially the size of a router plate the table material will not stay flat it I’ll sag at the large cutout especially MDF . The manufacturer needs to add steel supports into the table to help with this. It’s a pity but otherwise all good.

For a weekend warrior like me, I underestimated how sophisticated this router table and parts are! It is a great piece of kit!
A bit disappointed that it does not include the MagnaLock plates, but that is my fault for not reading the description to the end. My router did not fit and I ended up getting the router lift and 1400W router to complete the setup.

Delighted with both the product and the Wood Workers Workshop's service in getting it to me. Everything together (bought with Incra Lift, CleanSweep and Auk Motor) is a little intimidating to assemble. Watched lots of videos and took my time, but everything was straightforward - especially with hindsight! I've yet to use it for its joinery functionality, but have used it for precision routing work. It's very easy to not only position the fence to an accuracy of 0.025mm, but to move it and return it to the exact same position - just amazing engineering. Have to add that I've contacted Incra customer service a couple of times for pointers - found them to be quick, comprehensive and helpful.

Yet to use in much anger, I have always used a hand-router until now and this is my first table based system, so I have plenty to learn. I looked at the Jessem table, but it was the LS based system that swung it for me. I bought it with the WonderFence option, but that was only because WWW didn't have the none-WonderFence combo in stock, otherwise, I would probably bought the WonderFence as a later add-on. Initial use and impression of the WonderFence is that the way it adjusts and is used is a bit convoluted and a bit clunky. The tall-stock add-on in particular is just bizarre in its fixing, isn't height adjustable. Definitely smacks of being an after-thought! Don't get me wrong, it works but with hindsight, the Jessem fence looks to be a much slicker tool than the WonderFence .... YMMV!

All the kit is beautifully made and finished and fits together a dream. The only minor issue is that Incra literally count the number of fixings they supply, no spare whatsoever which is ok until they miscount and don't supply a crucial M6-nut or a locking washer is missing, which means a trip to Screwfix. Irritating. Come-on Incra, for goodness sake, stop being such tight-wads! Other that that, I was surprised at how much shimming is required to get things truly square, horizontally and vertically, at the fence but I suppose once its done, that's pretty much it.

The AUK router is Version 3, the latest incarnation I understand. Have to say, it feels well made, fits the MastRlift easily, is pretty quiet [as these things go] and seems to have plenty of torque. I mis-ordered [my bad] and meant to click the remote power and speed control version, which is essential with the Cleansweep dust-extract box. The start-stop is sorted with the use of an after market e-stop/on/off lead but speed control is not available which is not the end of thee world I suppose . I use the Cleansweep with a 2-motor CamVac, mounted within the router table and that works very-well in controlling the dust and makes for a very compact installation. One irritation is that the Cleansweep table-inserts are an expensive and separate purchase, but TBH, performance without them isn't too bad.

The MastRlift is great, I find that it is smooth, quick to operate and the built-in gauge surprisingly accurate with very little [in mine about 0-0.05mm] backlash. I went with the Incra version over the Jessem version just to go for the magnetic held inserts; one less tool to use when changing a bit, no other reason.

All in all, despite the niggles, I am very pleased with the purchase. But this is starting to get expensive!

Everything about this router table screams quality. Its pricey but well worth the money. I took my time on the first set on test dovetails but without too much effort i created perfect half blind dovetails that were repeatable again and again. The team at wood workers workshop are the best ive ever come across. Highly highly recommend buying this from this store.

Fantastic piece of kit.

Superb service from WWW. The Incra LS Positioner is a superb quality device enabling precise routing of box joints, dovetails and other cuts. I bought the Metric version which is based on 1 mm increments rather than 1/32 inches. I also purchased the Whiteside router bits which provide Metric bits for the box joints but the Dovetail joints are based on the supplied Imperial bits. In consequence, the Templates for Metric version only provides 26 templates rather than the 51 available for the Imperial version. However, with some research I have found a freely available open source template application called pyRouterJig which enable you to create any template for the Metric or the Imperial Incra LS Positioner. Currently, the Metric version of pyRouterJig requires Metric bits for Dovetails and cannot use the Whiteside Imperial Dovetail bits. By using Metric bits and the pyRouterJig Incra, templates can be created to replicate all 51 imperial templates as well as any other desired router spacing you require.

First of all the service from Jim at Wood Workers Workshop was excellent. I have been looking for a router table for some time and booked on the 3 day routing course at Peter Sefton's school to get an idea of what is out there and what is most suited to my needs. Whilst I am a hobbyist wood worker, like most of us I take pride in my work and accuracy is paramount. I decided the Incra system was the most versatile although I am sure its capabilities are far in excess of my own.

Out of the box this is fairly straight forward to set up and there are excellent detailed instructions. I have only had the table for a week and so far I am still very much getting to grips with it. On the surface it looks (and can be) very complicated but it performs superbly. The degree of control is outstanding and I don't think there is really anything else out there that is comparable. I subsequently purchased the dust extraction package, which is well worth it, but I would advise you do this at the outset rather than retrospectively. I found I had to take a great deal of the assembly to pieces in order to fit the extraction kit...not a big deal but a bit frustrating, especially as I had already build a cabinet to fit the base.

The only thing I am not totally sold on is the High-Rise kit. At the moment I have it fitted but I am finding it gets in the way and I can see before long I will remove it and only put it back on if I need it.

All in all, a fantastic piece of kit and great service from the Wood Workers Worshop.

A year of use, I am a satisfied buyer. Everything is as hoped for. No sign of any distortion despite an unheated workshop.

This is simply a superb piece of kit. The quality is outstanding. It brings the accuracy associated with metalworking to woodworking.

Bought his router table combo together with a Incra Mast-r-lift II router lift. On the way i added some scrapers and clamps to the order. Everything worked perfectly smooth. I could not have been happier with communication and how the purchase and shipment were handled. I have not installed the routertable yet since my new shop still is in finishing stages but five stars is adequate for how everything was dealt with. Greetings from Sweden
