Description

The Melbourne Tool Company Low Angle Plane Kit combines three essential hand planes to get started in woodworking. It includes a block plane for shaving end grain, completing touch-ups, and finish work; a smoothing plane ideal for finishing all types of wooden surfaces; and a jack plane for flattening, dimensioning, and edge jointing. Each plane comes with three different blades, 25 degree, 38 degree and 50 degree, making switching between tasks a breeze.

The Melbourne Tool Company Low Angle Smoothing Plane is the must have fine finishing hand tool to have on your bench. Its shorter body makes this plane perfect for finishing wooden surfaces. It produces a finish that equals or is superior to that made by fine sandpaper.

Your Melbourne Tool Company Low Angle Jack Plane is one of the most versatile tools you can have on your bench. Perfect for flattening, dimensioning and edge jointing. Build yourself a shooting board and plane end grain with ease. The three different blade types available makes switching between all this planes possible applications a breeze. And the easy blade adjustment and finely shaped timber handles will make it hard for you to put this plane down.

3 Angled blades for each plane
Fitted with a blade sharpened to 25 degrees, along with the 12 degree bed, gives an effective cutting angle of 37 degrees, perfect for jobs like end grain. The kit also comes with blades ground to 38 degrees suitable for smoothing, and 50 degrees for smoothing figured material.

Staggeringly good service, the shipment arrived from Canada at the Wood Workers Workshop warehouse on the Tuesday, went out by post on Wednesday and arrived with my brother in West Wales on Friday morning ! He's really pleased with it, excellent quality at a reasonable price, flip-out stabilizing tab very useful.

Fantastic all round service!

I've never used Wood Workers Workshop before but have been aware of them for a few years. After spending a long time researching router tables I took the plunge and ordered an Incra top, LS Positioner and router lift, complete with the larger AUKTools router motor. Everything arrived the next day and was packaged superbly. The products are really well made and the router is very powerful and quiet compared to my old one. I had one minor issue with the LS Positioner (an Incra issue, not WWW) and it was resolved very quickly at no cost to me. I would highly recommend this company and the quality products that they stock. There is nowhere else selling woodworking equipment of this quality in the UK. I will be back for more! :-)

This company has the best customer service I can remember receiving. I emailed a query tangentially related to the product and got a comprehensive reply by return. I ordered the product on.a Friday and it was delivered on Saturday. The Incra products are of course excellent quality. Only a shame they use imperial fasteners, but I did find I could run am M6 tap through the 1/4 X 20 hole in the sliding washer with no obvious I'll effect so I could fit a Bristol knob to the sliding extension adjustment.
