Milescraft TrackSawGuide

Bought because I’ve fitted new oak doors throughout my home, I knew I needed to cut dead straight and thin strips off these doors. The Tracksaw Guide couldn’t have done a better job cutting so accurately that I’ve been left with micro thin pieces of oak. Incredible tool and a great price. Packed to a very high standard in quality packaging. The Tracksaw and all its bits are very nice quality. If I was going to suggest anything I would suggest putting lock tight in the grub screws. If you have any joiners in the rails not tightened down, so an end one not being used they will rattle out with only one use. Otherwise I can honestly say as an unexperienced novice woodworker this tool is very good. I am certainly going to try out their other products. Thank you very much

Great bit of kit

A little fiddly setting up the saw in the carrier but once fitted the track saw works very well. Gives a nice clean cut. Good addition to the work shop

Reviews of this saw track litter Youtube like confetti and by Folks who terrorise wood way better than I ever will, so all I will say is they are all spot-on. Initial set-up of the saw into the bed plate is a task for which a friendship with an Octopus might assist, but once you're there - make a spacer for that particular saw and it's a pice of cake to re-attach when the long straight cuts are required.
One thing I would add, is it would be GREAT if Milescraft did a holdall for this as an extra - the box won't last forever I am thinking

Great for fast accurate cutting of sheet materials
Takes around about 30-60 minutes to set up properly first time, well worth the effort.
Top tip: use pencil lines to record the saw base setup position once its been correctly assembled to ensure precise repositoning of saw if it is not dedicated to TrackSawGuide.

I haven't put this to any use yet but I'm hoping to do so when the weather improves.
As for the store where I purchased it from, I doubt you'll find a better supplier.

This is probably the best thing ive bought for woodworking. It allows me to quickly and accurately cut sheets of wood down to size, doing so perfectly straight (at least as far as i can tell). So much cheaper than buying a dedicated track saw, makes my existing circular saw so much more accurate, without compromising the versatility of the saw.

Purchased the Milescraft Track Saw guide and used it multiple times over the past few weeks - it’s works like a dream !

Easy set up , accurate layout and quality materials used in all of the parts .

I even cut a piece of 70mm x 45mm down to an acute angle and it was so accurate and easy .

I really like all of my Milescraft tools , quality at a great price .

I haven't had the opportunity to try the track saw guide yet, but from what I've seen, the quality of the material, especially the base, which is all aluminum and non-deformable, suggests that the cuts will be precise.

Fantastic bit of kit smart compact packaging,which I have retained for storage, set up easily and does what it sats on the package and videos ...Brilliant I would and have recomended it to friends....

Youtube reviews say it's basically as good as a dedicated tracksaw track- and it's a lot cheaper, so savings are double when you already have a saw. Cuts on the track are straight and so much cleaner for me, so I'm very happy with it. As a bonus it seems I won't have have to remove the sled for cuts without the track either, so I can just leave it in the sled - which is a bit fiddly getting on. Very happy with WoodworkersWorkshop for having it in stock and at the best price with delivery.

Have to say I have a lot of praise for these guys. Products always quality and always arrive on time. I popped into the shop once as it’s not far from me, the staff were very friendly and helpful and even fixed a little issue I had even though it was only mentioned in conversation. 10 out of 10 all day long.

I had the old Kreg K2 jig which built bunk beds and many other things for me over the years. However, I always wanted a self-clamping device and had originally thought that I would simply do an upgrade within the Kregsphere. However, having done my research for approximately the same price, this was available. I have to say I am very impressed with the solidity of the build. I also found a useful hack to enable me to drill holes in slightly thicker wood than the 38 mm provided by the jig. The way around this is to simply insert a slightly smaller M8 bolt in the clamp and remove the supplied one. I used a 40 mm M8 bolt and then simply added a large washer on the end. Hey presto, I was suddenly able to drill pocket holes in 44 mm thick wood instead of just the 38. The thing that struck me about the jig was the fact that it was made to allow you to do this sort of thing. Everything is replaceable and it all comes apart and fits back together very well. Therefore, I think this is a well engineered product and it really does stick out in comparison to the plastic feeling of similar jigs. I also bought the track saw guide.. now this I was really impressed with because I had originally thought of buying the blue competitor ie the Craig jig... For many years I had coveted the ability to cut straight and the only real decent make on the market for a tracks or guide was the Kreg jig. Once again, however, I found that the Milescraft guide seem to get really good reviews from all over. You know what happened. Of course, I went and did a lot of research on YouTube and asked around. Of course, feedback I got was that the milescraft jig was a lot better and value for money because you have t track clamps that come already with the kit and this allows you to tie down your track Saw guide to exactly the spot you want and have no fear of creepage. For the first time in my life, I've cut really good, decent, long cuts, something that I have never been able to achieve previously with my homemade guides because there was always the chance that a slight deviation would stuff the whole thing up, especially over long distances. With this track system I literally clamped it all down. Made sure the cutting strip was cut cleanly and then with a deep breath I took the plunge so to speak and ended up cutting a perfect 2.4 m straight cut. . Absolutely amazing and then I cut MDF and 18 mm ply and in each circumstance it was a beautiful clean cut straight accurate with no tear out. This is a game changer for me. I strongly and heartily recommend this product. I think this is the best value track saw guide currently available. I would recommend buying the extension rails at the same time because you'll regret it if you don't. imagine, just having something that works. One more thing, it doesn't feel cheap. In fact, none of the miles craft products feel cheap. They really feel like you're getting value for your money and a well-made product that's going to be around for a number of years. Fantastic!

Looks really solid and well built guite easy to setup have not had a chance to use it yet but all looks good so far.

I have yet to use this but it’s obviously well made but was very disappointed to find out that you cannot use this to allow your saw to cut at an angle which was one of the reasons I purchased it. Still a cheaper option for what it’s intended use and seems to be of better quality than others of this type.

Works well and as expected. Not sure if my circular saw is different but it mounts the opposite to that the picture shows. The picture shows the blade on the right hand side but my Makita cordless has the blade on the left. Because of this it does not sit as far into the sled but it is held very well.

Good bit of kit very well made.
Good for anyone who already has a circular saw and need to make long straight cuts but can’t justify paying for a designated tracksaw.

Decided to buy this guide mainly because of the price.
Easy to assemble . Simple to use (no more clamps getting in the way)
However a word of warning.when you first run the saw to register the blade to the sacrificial cutting strip the shards of plastic fly off like shrapnel,two of which embedded themselves in my forearm. I was using a ripping blade maybe a finer toothed saw would have bee better.
This little mishap aside ,I’m very pleased with the guide.

Not yet used but close inspection reveals a robust and precisely-made piece of equipment. I can see no reason why this shouldn’t work perfectly. A very slight reservation about the ‘sacrificial’ guide which will only be compatible with the first blade used, but this may prove inconsequential in practice.

Was reviewing the ryobi tracksaw but at over £300 I was reluctant to pay that so when I came across this on YouTube and after watching a couple of different people saying how great it was I treated myself to one and it's amazing being able to put my own circle saw in place with the added bonus of being able to put any circle saw in place measurements permitting took me only a couple of mins to out together my only down side if any I wish they did a storage bag for it I've also now gone on to purchase extra tracks as well excellent well made product and definitely worth every penny
