Description
The Niwaki Ryoba Saw is a double-sided general purpose saw, giving you two saws for the price of one. With finer teeth on one side for cross-cutting, and larger teeth on the other for ripping. Like all Japanese saws, the cutting is all done on the pull stroke, with the blade always is working in tension. As a result, the blade is 0.6mm thick and lightweight and naturally follows a straight line. The teeth on the ripping side get progressively smaller and the pitch of the teeth finer nearer the handle which makes starting off your cut much easier.
The SK-5 steel goes through the traditional heat treatment process of oil quenching, meaning the blades can be resharpened with a Saw File over time.
