The Woodpeckers Router Plane is designed for the fine-tuning and clean-up tasks that machines and many hand tools struggle to perform accurately. It excels at refining the bottoms of dadoes, grooves, rabbets, hinges and similar joinery where controlled material removal is essential.

Backlash-Reducing Depth Adjustment

A refined thumbwheel adjustment system minimises backlash, allowing more precise depth setting with less frustration during fine adjustment work.

Highly Adaptable Blade Positioning

The large sole is paired with three separate mounting locations for the blade mechanism, with multiple orientations available at each position. This flexibility helps maintain full sole support while improving access into corners and difficult areas.

Designed to Work with the Grain

The blade can be rotated into four different cutting orientations, helping position the cutter for cleaner cuts and improved control depending on grain direction and workpiece geometry.

Stable and Durable Construction

The sole is machined from billet ductile iron and treated with a black nitride coating to reduce friction and improve corrosion resistance during long-term workshop use.

Precision-Machined Blade Mechanism

The blade mechanism is machined to tight tolerances for smooth, controlled adjustment. A double-wedge locking system secures the blade firmly without marking the blade shaft.

Supplied with Two Blade Styles

The Router Plane includes both square and spearpoint blades. The square blade handles most general work, while the spearpoint blade provides improved access into tight internal corners.

Prepared for Use

Both blades are supplied with lapped and polished backs, while the bevels are pre-ground to the correct angle and require only light honing before use.
