A Refined Approach to Taper Cutting

The Woodpeckers Taper Sled builds on a proven design with upgraded materials, improved adjustability and more versatile workholding options to deliver greater accuracy, control and ease of use.

Adjustable Hook Stop for Greater Flexibility

The traditional hook stop is fully adjustable, from minimal exposure up to 3/4" of support, allowing better adaptability across different tapering tasks. A parallel track-clamp slot also allows sacrificial stops to be positioned anywhere along the sled for additional setup flexibility.

Patented Leaf-Spring Mitre Bar

The included patented mitre bar is designed to fit any standard 3/8" x 3/4" mitre slot. Nylon leaf springs compensate for wear and machining inconsistencies, helping the sled run smoothly and accurately.

Adaptable for Large Workpieces

For oversized taper projects or straight-lining wide boards, the sled can quickly be removed from the mitre bar and guided directly against the table saw rip fence.

Flexible Clamping Options

Four integrated track-clamp slots allow standard track clamps to secure awkward or rough-sawn stock confidently. The steel fence is also designed to work with Woodpeckers Knuckle Clamps for fast, adjustable workholding.

Designed for Accurate Taper Layout

The two scales are spaced exactly 24" apart, making rise-over-run taper setup straightforward and repeatable without complicated calculations. Tapers can also be aligned directly from layout marks on the workpiece.

Workshop Storage Included

A wall-mountable Rack-It keeps the Taper Sled visible, organised and ready for use in the workshop.
