An error of only a fraction of a degree can amount to unsightly gaps in the corners of mitered boxes and frames. The iGaging EZ Digital Miter Gauge solves the problem with digital precision to 1/10th of a degree.
This mitre gauge has an easy-to-read digital display and is constructed from machined aluminium. The gauge is suitable for square crosscuts and acute or obtuse angles up to 70°. A cursor helps quickly find the approximate angle location, while the easy-to-read digital display enables fine-tuning to 1/10th of a degree.
The mitre gauge head is semicircular with a spring-loaded push handle, which rotates to clamp the head at the correct angle. The unit can attach to an optional extra 18" (457mm) or 24" (610mm) precision extruded aluminium fence (sold separately) with three 1/4" T-slots on the front and back faces and one on the top and bottom. Using the centre T-slot on the back face, the mitre head can quickly attach to the aluminium fence.
The 18" (457mm) mitre bar with adjustable spring plungers fits standard 3/4" x 3/8" (19mm x 9.5mm) mitre T-slots perfectly, eliminating play while retaining smooth sliding.
The miter head unit requires a standard CR2032 battery and powers up instantly with a press of the on/off button. There is also a zero button for calibration and a hold/flip button. The display turns off after 5 minutes to prolong battery life.
