Create A New AccountThe Verum Dual Marking Gauge has twin stems with opposing finely-honed cutters for maximum versatility and a solid brass stem clamp for accurate and easy setup. Used in tandem, the cutters mark precise mortice and tenon joints. When used independently the cutters can be chosen to ensure the bevel is always used on the waste side of the line. Bevel in is perfect for cutting across the grain when dovetailing or scribing tenon shoulders, or with the grain for setting out hinges. Utilising the opposite cutter is perfect for marking timber to width or thickness prior to hand planning. Metric and imperial graduations etched into the stems make accurate set up a breeze. The precision cutters retract into the stock for safe keeping when not in use and the milled flat on the stock prevents the gauge accidentally rolling off the bench. The perfect tool for scribing with, or across, the fibres without being pulled into the grooves of the natural grain.
