This Spokeshave can shape and smooth any kind of wood yet remains an uncomplicated tool. The minimalistic design makes it easy to disassemble for sharpening and maintenance and reassemble for work.
Solid cast steel body with inlaid cork hand grips
These Spokeshaves are made from a single piece of ergonomically shaped cast steel. Comfortable in the hand whether being pushed or pulled, your thumbs will find their place naturally against its surface in either direction for controlled work. The inlaid cork hand grips soften the sensation of holding the tool and improve your grip minimising twisting as you work. This balance of comfort and control means you can work for hours.
Twin blade adjustment knobs
The knurled adjustment knobs are generous and easy to adjust. The blades depth of cut and angle is adjusted by simply turning the blade these adjustment knobs. The knobs means setting up the blade properly is an easy and predictable task both the depth of cut and skew. The extra thick 3.2mm bevel down blade gives vibration-free cutting and can cut in all directions. The blade locks down firmly via the single cap iron knob.
M2 High Speed Steel blades
The M2 HSS (High Speed Steel) blade has high abrasion resistance which means it will hold a sharp edge much longer than many other steels. This also means that it may take a little longer to bring up an edge, very similar to A2 steel, but holds the edge longer than O1 steel.
