Micro Jig FitFinder Lock Mitre Bit - 1/2" Shank

The lock mitre joint cannot be beaten for making columns, newels, posts and cabinet scribes, but the bit and stock have to be exactly centered together. The Micro Jig FitFinder Lock Mitre Bit features the Centre Finding Platform milled into the router bit body at the precise centre of the cutting profile. A solid measuring point to set the correct bit height the first time.

Once the height is correct, only the fence needs to be adjusted to perfect the fit. This greatly simplifies the router table setup for perfect joints with minimal test cuts and wasted stock. Now you can confidently add this important joinery to any of your projects.

Get precise fitting joints thanks to Micro Jigs unique built-in "Glue Wells" ensuring a tighter joint fit. The lock bit creates a small slot within each groove so excess glue does not block the joint, preventing it from closing fully. This results in the need for fewer clamps and a rock-solid joint.
