The Milescraft HingeJig saves time and removes the guesswork when installing new doors into existing frames. This self-clamping jig includes everything needed to rout hinges and latch mortises onto new doors. The self-clamping feature holds the HingeJig in place while routing without the use of screws or nails that can leave holes in a finished door.

Features

  • Padded clamp design sets up quickly and prevents damage to doors caused by mounting screws or nails
  • Adjustable settings allow the HingeJig to be used on doors sized 34.9mm (1-3/8") and 44.5mm (1-3/4") thick
  • The HingeJig can rout hinge mortises for 5 common hinge sizes from 2-1/2" (63.5mm) up to 4-1/2" (114.3mm)
  • Cut professional hinge mortises with 6.35mm (1/4"), 15.9mm (5/8"), or square corners (chisel or corner chisel required)
  • The HingeJig kit also includes three templates to rout door latch mortises (sizes below)
  • Set router bit depth with built-in depth setting gauge for smaller or larger size door hinges
  • Includes a self-guided router bit with bearing to cut clean and smooth door hinge mortises
  • Contains built-in storage compartments for the included router bit and self-centring hinge bit (sold separately)
