INCRA - I-Box Jig for Box Joints - create a stunning variety of box joints & finger joints; its revolutionary design allows faster setup, greater versatility, and improved user safety compared to traditional jigs.

To get right to the point, the new INCRA I-Box is the most advanced tool ever produced and at the same time, it's easy to use and the included 1-hour instructional DVD covers everything from basic setup to advanced decorative joinery.

The I-Box is an evolutionary leap forward from conventional box joint methods - this single jig can be used on both your table saw and your router table, and the IBox's dual pitch lead screw mechanics easily micro-adjust joint tightness and provide a whopping 1/8"- 3/4" range of pin widths. It's capable of making good fitting box joints using any width cutter within that range into timber from 1/4" to 1" thick.

The advantages continue far beyond the basics: I-Box-exclusive joints like the Center Keyed Box Joint can be used to produce symmetric patterns rather than ending your joint with a partial pin as often required with other traditional box joint jigs. The Splined Box Joint is yet another INCRA-only decorative joint that's guaranteed to add wow-factor to your projects, and the I-Box can even be used to produce an unlimited variety of classic dentil mouldings.

Nothing says "Craftsmanship" like adding solid wood hinges to your projects, and the I-Box can be used in conjunction with the INCRA HingeCrafter to produce wooden hinges in four different barrel diameters and in lengths up to 10". Works with the metric HingeCrafter, too. If you've been looking to improve your shop's joinery capabilities with a fast, versatile, and easy to use method for producing box joints of all descriptions, the INCRA I-Box is what you've been waiting for.

THE INCRA I-BOX IS PACKED WITH INNOVATIVE FEATURES:

  • Use it on your table saw or router table to cut great looking box joints with a stacking-type dado blade, dedicated box joint blade set, or straight router bits
  • Reversible design works on either side of the cutter
  • Exclusive dual-pitch lead screw mechanism for fast micro-adjusting and a broad 1/8" - 3/4" range of pin widths cut into lumber from 1/4" to 1" thick
  • Exclusive INCRA GlideLOCK miter bar fits standard 3/4" x 3/8" miter slots with a 0.740" - 0.762" adjustment range
  • FREE 1-hour instructional DVD covers basic setups through advanced decorative joinery
  • Works alongside the INCRA HingeCrafter to produce solid wood hinges Front and rear blade guards; front guard also stabilizes boards vertically and is adjustable for 1/4" to 1" lumber thicknesses for box joints or even thicker for other applications
  • The wide fence allows clamping lumber securely into position while cutting much better than hand-held boards, especially when joining small or large lumber (hand screw clamp not included)
  • Reversible & reusable MDF sub fence dramatically reduces or eliminates tearout
  • Exclusive INCRA GlideLOCK miter bar fits standard 3/4" x 3/8" miter slots with a 0.740" - 0.762" width adjustment range or is available in a version for Shopsmith machines (use the selector above to choose). Miter bar position adjustable up to 7-1/2" away from saw blades (edge of blade to center of miter slot) or up to 7-3/4" from routers (center of collet to center of miter slot).

    I-Box

I haven't had much time to properly figure out how to use it. I spent a few hours trying to understand the instructions for use on a router table and also kept watching the YouTube video but it was very difficult to follow the instructions because the presenter spoke so fast and it was a pain trying to rewind the vid to the right place to watch again. When I did a test cut on some scrap wood the box joints did not fit. Now I know that I can adjust the jig and get it to work, but I haven't had time to mess about with it . I wish the instructions were better.

    Top stuff

after basic set up I was very impressed with the quality of the I-box and of the work it leaves not only just ply wood also any wood , any other set up only takes a few mins ,it is slightly costly ,but when set up right its perfect and I am very happy with it , as far as I am aware its the best box jig ,I will be using it mostly on my router table which I made with built in 3/4 channel as I use router more time than anything else , not only that this is the only place I can get I-box, which came from USA so a big thank you Wood Workers Woodshop for importing this ,as it would cost a lot more if you get it direct fro Inrca

    Quality Product

Delighted with the quality of the product when unpacking and assembling. It takes some experimentation to get it set up to produce accurate joints. The video is useful but found I had to make notes and fully understand how it adjusts so that I can tweak the settings. I think the jig is very good but does require quite a bit of effort to get it set up.

    Disappointed

Disappointed. On unpacking I found the mounting plate for the guide was bent, the packaging was undamaged so it must have left the factory like that. Having straightened it out I then found that the mounting screws for the guide were such that the jig wouldn't fit up tight to the guide. The adjustment screws on the guide were an odd size torx screw & no spanner was supplied. I followed the set up DVD numerous times but was unable to get the spacing gizmo to work properly & ended up setting it manually with a pair of calipers. Having said all that, once I had it set it did the job quite nicely & the repeatability was fine. I would suggest that if you are using this with a router table that you use a breakout fence to both sides of the workpiece as I did find it chipped coming back through the cutter but that is not the fault of the jig. I couldn't wholeheartedly recommend this jig but if you are just making lots of small boxes / drawers & can leave it set up the it will do just fine.

I am sorry to hear of the problems you encountered with you I-Box, this is very unusual, someone from our sales team will be in contact to swap it out for a replacement.
