INCRA MagnaLOCK™ Router Plate - 7518-TINC_MLP7518-T
INCRA MagnaLOCK™ Router Plate - 7518-AL - ⅜" (10mm) solid aluminium mounting plate is the ultimate for achieving perfect cutting results at your router table - just drop in the selected MagnaLOCK ring. The high energy, rare-earth magnets hold the ring secure and perfectly flush every time.
Precision-machined aircraft grade aluminium and a bullet proof hard anodised plating translate to easy glide for your workpiece. While the ⅜" (10mm) thickness is robust enough for the heaviest of routers on the market today.
Designed for every INCRA Router table top, these plates will fit the standard 9 ¼ x 11 ¾" recess in most other router table tops including our JessEm range.
Ten fine thread plate-leveling screws provide extreme control in leveling the plate to your table and rock solid support at any position around the plate. A simple quarter turn of the corner mounted Cam-Lock fastener securely locks the plate in the router table's recess.
All INCRA's aluminium mounting plates feature the exclusive MagnaLOCK magnetic throat plate system. Changing any of the included throat plates is a snap with the Magna Lock System.
MagnaLOCK's instant, tool-free ring changes and perfectly flush fit for the rings make it simply the most convenient and best-performing ring system available. All INCRA's mounting plates include three laser-cut steel rings with 1" (25.4mm), 2 ⅛" (54mm) and 3 ⅝"(92mm) openings, and many more ring sizes are available as accessories including either the 8-Piece Solid set or the Clean Sweep Rings for improved dust extraction.

As router plates go this is one of the nicest I've used. It's thick, solid, flat and isn't going to sag in your table.
Lots of levelling screws make it an simple task to adjust the height for a smooth transition from your table to the plate and off again. A simple cam-lock snugs the plate to your cut out. The above table winder (See below) is guided well to the winder and I've never had to stick my head under the table to slot it in.
The Magna-Lock inserts are snug and there's adjustment in the magnets to make sure there's no lip between the plate and the insert rings. I didn't need to make any changes to that on mine. The magnets that hold the insert rings in place are pretty strong and require quite some force to remove. There's a little grove you can slip the smallest of the 3 Allen keys in to help lever the ring up but I use a plastic strip because I don't want to scratch my plate.
Fitting the router to the base took less than a minute, everything lined up nicely.
There are a couple of caveats that you should be aware of if you're going to use a Triton MOF001 with this plate.
Either Triton have changed the size of the above table winder or Incra can't drill accurate holes My money is on Triton changing the winder. Incra's reputation is built on their accuracy. This means, if you're going to use the MOF001 then you'll need to widen the front winder hole on the plate. You can do this yourself or you can ask Woodworkers Workshop (they did it for me) to do it. I'd give them a call to ensure they can do it before it gets shipped out to you.
The second issue you'll discover when using the MOF001 with this plate is that the power switch for the router will be at the back, not the front. I use an NVR switch attached to my table so the only time I need to reach for the router power button is when changing the bit. It's not difficult to find but I wouldn't want to use this without an external NVR switch.
First of all, I need to thank Peter and Jim for the excellent customer service while I was trying to choose a plate to suit my set-up. The plate is perfectly flat and was very easy to install and adjust. Really pleased with the purchase
