Scary Sharp lapping film offers a quick-cutting, long-lasting and exceptionally flat sharpening method. These aluminum oxide micro-finishing sheets are easy to apply thanks to their strong polyester film and pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing.
Sharp, heat-treated, P-grade aluminum oxide abrasives, combined with a zinc stearate anti-loading agent, are uniformly coated onto a tough, tear-resistant, self-adhesive film backing.
Originally designed for demanding metalwork micro-finishing applications, such as grinding camshafts, these films deliver excellent results in hand sharpening. Their abrasive cutting action is quicker, lasts longer and is less prone to tearing during use compared to the original Imperial lapping films used for fiber-optic polishing.
