Join us at ShedFest 2021

Join us at ShedFest 2021 an online Festival for Makers and Crafters hosted by @UKMensSheds Men’s Sheds are great at engaging Men (& women) through making, repurposing, repairing and through the social connections they provide.

Peter Sefton from the Peter Sefton Furniture School will talk about wood joints with Tony Smith-Crallan, discuss his career and demonstrate how to make fantastic dovetails every time!

UK Men’s Sheds Association are hosting a free National UK-wide Virtual Festival called ShedFest2021. From 6-8 July 2021. Men who have ceased getting much needed social interaction from their local community Men’s Sheds due to COVID-19, will have the opportunity to attend online workshops and prepare for a return to normalcy.

With lockdown and the projected increases in unemployment, the need for Men’s Sheds has never been more important.

The event is free and people will be able to join sessions including evening classes where they can discuss crafts, making, health and wellbeing with Men’s Sheds from across the UK and further afield. Guests throughout the three-day schedule will cover topics including ‘’Helping others with their mental health, unlocking local funding, ‘what is a Men’s Shed and why do they work’, and ‘coming out of lockdown.’

Featured guests include; Raspberry Pi, Peter Sefton Furniture School, Chicken bone John Axminster, Lumberjack, Ronseal Metalcraft and the UK Men’s Sheds Association patron the blind woodturner RPT.

ShedFest 2020 brings together people from across the United Kingdom who share an interest in creating community workshops that improve men’s (and women’s) wellbeing.
