Shield Technology HoneRite No 1 is a dual-action, ultra-low viscosity honing and lapping fluid for use with diamond plate sharpening systems, our Scary Sharpening and traditional oil-stones

HoneRite No 1 is fast cutting and easy to use, it has the added benefit of containing powerful corrosion inhibitors so that once a tool has been sharpened, it may be protected by applying some of the fluid. It will also keep your expensive diamond lapping plates in peak condition, as using water on them leads to rusting issue over time.

HoneRite No 1 can also be used to revive old, clogged oil stones by soaking the stone and scrubbing with a brush to remove debris from the pores of the stone.

Under the screw cap is a metal leakage lid - rather than removing this we recommend keeping it in place and piercing it - this prevents over-use and helps with accurate drizzling onto your sharpening substrate.
