Shield Technology MetalGuard Ultra (250ml)

Shield Technology MetalGuard Ultra is a high specification thin film coating which leaves a 2 micron clear film which will not yellow with age.

It contains both ferrous metal and yellow metal corrosion inhibitors. Supplied as a liquid in a 250ml can, it can be applied by brush, spray or dipping. Unlike the majority of other thin film coatings available on the market, it complies with defence standards complying with both MOD and NATO which is indicative of the quality of the product.

Under typical workshop conditions it can be expected to provide protection for up to two years. MetalGuard Ultra does not contain silicone.

Tried and tested under stringent conditions and valued by a diverse group of tool users for its exceptional protection to all metals. It is used as a very effective defence against corrosion and the effects of damp conditions for up to two years, is easily wiped clean and is free from silicone content.

MetalGuard Ultra has a wide variety of uses including long term protection in damp workshop conditions, protecting lathe beds whilst green woodturning, the inside of chucks or difficult to access areas including underhand plane frogs. It can be applied to tools after sharpening or used with a Mirlon pad for surface rust removal and preventative coating in general tool maintenance. 

Its powerful Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors actively interfere with the electrochemical process of corrosion and will provide up to two years protection for tools stored in damp or humid conditions.
